Did the officer see that the passenger was not wearing a seatbelt while the vehicle was in motion or did the officer hear the ID refusal then look at the seatbelt. Are seatbelts required in a parked car (after stopped by the police.)
If no helmet law for motorcycles, then there is no logical reason to cite an adult for not wearing a seatbelt. The law is discriminatory against car occupants.
so did the officer stop the car for the sear belt or something else and or did he see the car moving with the passenger without the belt on ? or was this retaliation when he demanded id first and passenger refused then decided the belt was not on and do either of you know the big lie behind the seatbelt law the feds pushed for air bags you know the ones that make you deft when they go off or if Takata ones kill or maim you and sometimes don't go off. so they said if all states pass the seatbelt use law no dangerous and costly airbags would be required so states passed the law but some federal judge ordered airbags but no state who loves ticket revenue changed the laws so consumers got hearing and deadly instrument's in cars as well as now 10 bags in very flimsy crap cars that fold like tinfoil . now before gripes i was in accident with truck built before seat belts and my newer ones have and i always use them but i resent the politicians lying to people and cops sometimes using excuses i like to know on tinted windows why there supposed to be dangerous yet 99% of police cars have limo tint that drivers cannot id the cops to be in uniform especially when there stopped by unmarked cars when a 9mm will shoot him in the balls through a car door he never see it and i never want a officer shot 1 it a life 2 it cost a lot of tax money
