No matter where we are or what situation we get ourselves into, God wants to show us that nothing can separate us from the love of Christ. Sheila, thank you so much for your powerful sermon you gave today, here in Cape Town at the Colour Conference 2018. It has taught me and encouraged me to drop the baggage.
Only those who have ever lived this life of shame can understand your overcoming testimony & what you went through. Your transparency will free many who have traveled the same kind of road! It helps us know there are others out there dealing with the same issues, but we don't have to go it alone. For our hope is found in Jesus & He will take us through! Praise His name!!!

Guilt tells me I've done something wrong, but shame tells me I am something wrong. Shame is a squatter who refuses to leave. It feels like who I am, a being of no worth.
"He who knew no shame, became shame, so that you and I could be free."
Allowing feelings to navigate you through a storm always ends in a shipwreck, but God's word will steer you to a safe harbor.
