Puerto Rico's nature is so diverse and vibrant when you're living in the interior of the island. The album cover reminds me of this. When it's sunny, you can hear the roosters, pitirres, guaraguaos, parrots, and all kinds of birds. When it rains, the tune changes completely. You hear a cacophony of small insects and amphibians in distinct rhythms, with the coquí taking center stage. This, in my opinion, is why our music is so polyrhythmic.
