@dannythunder3180 a lot of these judges do. To get thrown into jail, you really have to be a non-compliant idiot who thinks they don't have to follow the rules of probation or what these judges set aside for them. I see these people come into the ER, refusing this and that, being belligerent and non-compliant time and time again and thinking they are the victims. The vast majority of the time, they are given chance after chance bf going to jail. The fault lies on these kids who won't take accountability...like this moron we see right before us.

Yeah, if you have boundaries that can't be crossed without you becoming verbally or physically abusive, you need to find a different profession. I've taught in schools where the disrespect was shocking to my non-teacher friends and family. This student wasn't even _being_ disrespectful.

How is a student walking away an attack? The student had been told to do push-ups as a punishment. The student told the teacher that he had a wrist injury, and therefore could and would not do push-ups. The teacher got in the students face and spoke in a threatening/inappropriate manner. The student then tried to walk away, the teacher followed him and strangled him. The teacher only stopped when multiple staff members intervened.

The most telling (or even chilling) part of this incident is that others had to intervene to end the assault. I think teachers should be required to pass psychological evaluations before being hired. Some people can only put up with so much and will "snap", and that can be very dangerous.

First of all, do you see how much police presence is in this courtroom? This is a lot. Second of all going to a new paragraph
If you can’t handle the pressures of teaching in today’s environment, then do something else. I don’t care how disrespected the child is, if you can’t handle it get another job. Nobody says you owe these children and education.
And I can tell you I for one would not be a teacher in today’s environment because I couldn’t hand the disrespect and chosen a different environment because of that.
And your teachers are not heroes and all we need to educate the kids for the kids. I do this, the teachers posted on here no it’s not because you just wanna get up and get another job. Because most of you seem to hate your job
To back up this man who attacked the student that was walking away from him, ending the argument, and he attacked that student?
And if it was true, he told the student do push-ups. No student has to obey a teacher like that no way that’s corporal punishment and it’s against the law.
I am 63 almost 64 years old and I remember my years done push-ups like that I couldn’t do it. My back was in pain then. So if he can’t handle the disrespect from the children, he should’ve quit his job now he’s going to prison.

So the defendants mother is in charge of inmates for the state… I bet she’s so proud of her son… Trying to strangle a minor with a sweater who is walking away…

To the video uploader, assuming you wrote the title. It's the defence counsel's job, by law, to get the defendant the least punishment possible under the law. He wasn't talkative or trying to be "slick", he's just doing his job, something you've probably never had to worry about.

I'm starting to get the impression that Judge Simpson doesn't like the attorneys that defendants pay for themselves as opposed to the public defenders office attorneys.

As a teacher, he is dead wrong! But these kids are really disrespectful and they love to test every boundary put in the place. It’s really difficult out here for a teacher to!! I’m just saying… 🤷🏽‍♀️

The student didn't challenge or attack him. The boy walked away from the defendant, who then proceeded to follow and strangled him. If it weren't for the intervention of two other teachers, the child would be dead and this would be a bond hearing about a murder.

The Judge seems to be on edge as soon as the video starts, like he's on high alert. It makes me wonder if he's had history with this defendant, or if he's had a number of annoyances prior to this hearing.

He’s on high alert because there are abnormal amount of police presence in the courtroom. And these are not witness police officers. These are police officers to keep law in order within that courtroom. So yeah, he better be alert and high alert to.

The defendant's attorney did not prevail but I can't help comparing his defense of his client - which was eloquent, forceful, and detailed to the weaker representation by public defenders that I have seen videos of.on RUclips.
