Honestly the Nowhere King is one of the best and most compelling villains I've ever seen. The Elktaur wanted to be human so badly, but he didn't realize that by separating his body into a human and an elk, he was also splitting his consciousness, and the Elk's jealousy that the General got to live out the fantasy he always dreamed of while the Elk was swept to the side combined with his cruel treatment by the General eventually transformed him into the Nowhere King. His motivations were never outright evil until he began seeking revenge
After watching season 2 I rewatched it and the song draw out the beast when he separates the rutabaga the baby is crying and the rutabaga is rotting it’s not as healthy as it was
I’d rather side with the uhh good Side cuz’ Glendale and wammawink are my fav character ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉because Glendale stole the key and wammawink cares for everyone and because Glendale convinced the coldtaurs to join the good side even though they were so close to siding with the nowhere king despite the change they even started saying all hail Glendale instead of all hail the nowhere king 😅
ALL of what the Elktaur did was because he felt he had to change himself to be loved, instead of realizing that someone loved him already (the Magic Woman/Mysterious Woman/"Princess"), and the consequences of his selfishness.
The only ones I'm a little iffy on are Sunfish Murguy and Comfortable Doug. Sunfish was very obviously being flirty with Wammawink despite being in a committed relationship. Doug didn't agree to help Waterbaby escape, only agreeing to deliver a message. While this was helpful, he definitely could have helped out more.
Sunfish Merguy might have been so stupid that he didn't know what he was doing. This is backed up by Sunfish being one of THE dumbest fish possible. No seriously, just look them up. They're dumber than rocks.

I'm curious why you only put two shamans on the list, when Judge Jacket had an authoritarian government and Johnny Teatime lied to avoid giving the key part to Horse. Actually there's a lot more gray characters that weren't here.
About the tree shamans. I actually came back here to say they actually did give Horse what she needed. For at least the finale. They let Horse or gave Horse see or use the ability to go into people's memories and stop them in time. Which as u may recall helped at the finale to at least give everyone else time.
Although he’s only in a few scenes, I find Durpleton’s father to be pretty evil, especially when he just straight up replaces Durpleton and doesn’t even care. I hate him more than the Nowhere King, personally.
The Nowhere King has got to be one of my favorite villain in any animated series since he's a villain who I feel sorry for and felt like his end was what he deserved let me explain. Elktaur was always the odd one out of Centaurworld from his overall appearance to being serious all the time but he also had those insecurities which were one of the main factors that made him split into two beings who would later on destroy each other.

This is one of the most outlandish, bizarre, and engaging animated series I've ever seen. So many adjectives apply to it. Terrible, horrible, awful, abominable, amazing, wonderful, joyful, ridiculous, sublime, absurd, nutty, happy, you name the adjective, it probably applies. And I enjoyed it enormously.
I think Elktaur, the Nowhere King, and the General should have been evaluated as different individuals (like Kami and King Piccolo). The Nowhere King and the General may have once been the same person and remained two halves of the same whole, but the different experiences they went through after separating, not to mention who Elktaur was before splitting, shaped them all differently. Case and point, the General was selfish and willing to do bad things, but he wasn't the sadistic, tyrannical monster who took delight in pain and death and sought to kill everyone the way the Nowhere King did. And Elktar may have been willing to do horrible things to achieve his goals, but he wasn't at the level the General later became, nor was he the evil monster the Nowhere King ended up becoming.
you make a good point, HOWEVER i think the general was most certainly a monster. He neglected and tortured Elk with zero remorse. Not only was he partially responsible for creating the nowhere king with his selfish actions, he knew who the nowhere king, knew what he was doing and ALLOWED him to take countless innocent lives. Even those of his own soldiers. While he didn't look as outwardly creepy and gooey as the big NK, he was equally as monstrous and self absorbed on the inside.
Tbh they are alot more similar than first thought all of them have the same exact reasonings it's more like two different results of the original sin, elktaur is selfish, and riddled with contempt for those around him as well as self hatred, and obsession....and then he uses all those reasons to split and booth the nowhere king and the general just continue on with much the same exact issues, they aren't separate, more like...the pretty fantasy tinged at the edges with underlying filth vs the ugly reality with the underlying beauty at it's very edges, the experiences are different but they are vey much the same just different ways of showing the same thing...like a yin yang of incorrigibility
They're all the same person, just different aspects of how their selfishness and lack of empathy hurt themselves/those around them. Also, a terrible past isn't an excuse either.

I'll give the tree shamans the benefit of the doubt on their cruelty. They're not even centaurs literally just magic plants. They probably lack they emotional capacity of centaurs.
No objections from me! I think Horse from the start is formed by her life and upbringing more than it being her nature. She’s been in the war her whole life, that will leave scars and the often seen side that’s cynical and rough is a result of only ever having one person, Rider, she felt she could trust in. War means she must’ve seen a lot of loss until she was reluctant to let almost anyone close. She’s used to fighting for her and Rider’s lives so that’s far less stressful than the soft/weak/silly things she initially sees in Centaurworld and on top of that she no longer has Rider and just wants to go home and it’ll be harder to go home if she’s attached. But like Water Baby says: The war tactics you know they’ve got no utility, not in this world. Wammawink is also deeply formed from her experience of losing everything and everyone once. Her coping mechanisms are way off but that’s pretty understandable. She’s terrified of it ever happening again and that leads to her smothering her herd in her overprotectiveness. I don’t think any character in this show has much of a healthy coping mechanism but that’s also something that makes it very relatable - not everyone has that or the means to get it externally. None of them are perfect, they’re all perfectly flawed, but that’s part of what I really like about them.
I love center world it is so good these two have one half is war and 1/2 is just dancing silly magic it's perfect for me because fighting is fun to me but cute stuff and magic is a part of me so this show is great for me
I feel like Glendale should have ranked lower than Zulius? Zulius is a perfectionist and "fabulous". On the other hand, we've seen Glendale capturing sentient creatures and splitting up families. I feel like the second one is worse... I also find it odd that Splendib and Zulius are ranked so far apart. Splendib's one drawback was that when he and Zulius are broken up, he's a jerk... but so is Zulius? I kinda feel like they are almost interchangeable. Like.. their main character trait is "He's gay". If they switched places.. I think they would have done the exact same things? I like being represented in media, but I'm getting just a touch tired of the "He's gay, that means he's a floppy drama queen with no real problems" troupe.

I think the general should be in bad/evil seeing as he lied to get married with his love, locked up the Elk for 10 years which is one source of his suffering and a reason he inflicts pain on others, additionally he killed many on the battlefield including almost killing Ryder. As much as his "black mirror." made the singing and laughter die and enjoyed "seeing the light leaving their eyes."the general played a major role in this or maybe completely influenced it.

I feel the elktaur was not evil, he was good. It was the mistake of his separation that then caused an unbalance, therefore meaning it was not him who was evil, it was the conflict of his two separated halves. None of him was evil he was just extremely broken and when apart his halves formed evil.

Not gonna lie... Pretty sure Beartaur and The Magic Woman are a low key couple. The Tree Shamans are not bad, but they're honest: Most people don't want honesty, they want affirmation instead. Mysterious Woman/Magic Woman is a good person broken by abuse and lies. Stabby is one of the best/favorite characters in the series. He's a neutral/arguably evil minion... until he gets a family. And Becky Apples is no one's horse. ;) Also, the song "Fragile Things" sums up the difference between Wammawink and Horse... and the different methods of parenting. By the end of the series, what benefits The Herd and makes them strong enough to ALL contribute in the final battle is the combination of Wammawink's and Horse's parenting styles. And yeah, Derpleton is best Derpledad, with his character arc mirroring a LOT of people who suffered child abuse becoming the opposite of their abusers.

No objections from me! I think Horse from the start is formed by her life and upbringing more than it being her nature. She’s been in the war her whole life, that will leave scars and the often seen side that’s cynical and rough is a result of only ever having one person, Rider, she felt she could trust in. War means she must’ve seen a lot of loss until she was reluctant to let almost anyone close. She’s used to fighting for her and Rider’s lives so that’s far less stressful than the soft/weak/silly things she initially sees in Centaurworld and on top of that she no longer has Rider and just wants to go home and it’ll be harder to go home if she’s attached. But like Water Baby says: The war tactics you know they’ve got no utility, not in this world.
Wammawink is also deeply formed from her experience of losing everything and everyone once. Her coping mechanisms are way off but that’s pretty understandable. She’s terrified of it ever happening again and that leads to her smothering her herd in her overprotectiveness. I don’t think any character in this show has much of a healthy coping mechanism but that’s also something that makes it very relatable - not everyone has that or the means to get it externally. None of them are perfect, they’re all perfectly flawed, but that’s part of what I really like about them.
I love center world it is so good these two have one half is war and 1/2 is just dancing silly magic it's perfect for me because fighting is fun to me but cute stuff and magic is a part of me so this show is great for me

Zulius is a perfectionist and "fabulous".
On the other hand, we've seen Glendale capturing sentient creatures and splitting up families.

I also find it odd that Splendib and Zulius are ranked so far apart. Splendib's one drawback was that when he and Zulius are broken up, he's a jerk... but so is Zulius? I kinda feel like they are almost interchangeable. Like.. their main character trait is "He's gay". If they switched places.. I think they would have done the exact same things?
I like being represented in media, but I'm getting just a touch tired of the "He's gay, that means he's a floppy drama queen with no real problems" troupe.

I think the general should be in bad/evil seeing as he lied to get married with his love, locked up the Elk for 10 years which is one source of his suffering and a reason he inflicts pain on others, additionally he killed many on the battlefield including almost killing Ryder. As much as his "black mirror." made the singing and laughter die and enjoyed "seeing the light leaving their eyes."the general played a major role in this or maybe completely influenced it.

Dude. I Glendale and Stabby are two of my favorite characters, but let's be real, they are definitely closer to evil than most. I can't believe they rank so low on the evil scale. I feel the elktaur was not evil, he was good. It was the mistake of his separation that then caused an unbalance, therefore meaning it was not him who was evil, it was the conflict of his two separated halves. None of him was evil he was just extremely broken and when apart his halves formed evil.

Not gonna lie... Pretty sure Beartaur and The Magic Woman are a low key couple.
The Tree Shamans are not bad, but they're honest: Most people don't want honesty, they want affirmation instead.
Mysterious Woman/Magic Woman is a good person broken by abuse and lies.
Stabby is one of the best/favorite characters in the series. He's a neutral/arguably evil minion... until he gets a family.
And Becky Apples is no one's horse. ;)
Also, the song "Fragile Things" sums up the difference between Wammawink and Horse... and the different methods of parenting. By the end of the series, what benefits The Herd and makes them strong enough to ALL contribute in the final battle is the combination of Wammawink's and Horse's parenting styles.
And yeah, Derpleton is best Derpledad, with his character arc mirroring a LOT of people who suffered child abuse becoming the opposite of their abusers.
