@@chris73brown he doesn't have the smoothness of Mike and he sure doesnt have control and confidence that Mike has on bigger waves. He is still one of the best though and is much better than anyone else at crossing the legs no doubt
@@192837qwert very true. Yes l do agree with that. I wasnt thinking about big wave surfing when l wrote that. I was only thinking about tech surfing. My bad
True but before jono rawlins hardy etc most aussies had terrible style. The americans like stewart and others had this type of style way before the aussies. The aussies like jono got this style from the americans. If your oldschool like myself u know exactly what lm talkin about. Im only makin this point cause the aussies get the credit for cregs and stuff when it was actually the american who started it. If your real then youd agree
@@chris73brown, yeah! I agree with your point, because Mike was the first guy with a fluid and solid style, but nowadays nick gornall shows an amazing style too... the Australians actually improved their style, so they have the best style at this moment. I don't know what happened to Jono, but I would like to see this guy surfing again... he is not a competition guy, he is a free surf guy, it improves his style, no pressure... surf for hapiness!!!
@@thymarques yes l agree nick and all the aussies do have the best style at the moment. Foresure. Im glad u know where it originated from man. The aussies greatly improved their style and yes now they are the style masters. Yes ld love to see jono surfing now too. He probably does but at a very underground level and we dont see footage of it
@@chris73brown, bodyboard is an amazing sport. It is hard to explain some points, because I believe we have 3 best riders. 1- Mike Stewart, this guy is legendary... he started everything, he motivated all of us... around the world. 2- Guilherme Tâmega - He is Brazilian, a good example of Brazilian passion, he is insane, the most crazy, solid and persistent.... his style is not the best, but he has the best results ever. 3- Jono Bruce, the best style ever... when I watch his video, I feel the essence of bodyboard, definitely he is the best. I started bodyboard in 1995, I have seen a lot of stuff, but I think I will never seen another guy like these 3 dudes.
@@thymarques nice. Pretty much agree with everything u wrote. Its nice talkin to someone who knows the history. I myself been bodyboarding since the late 80s. I beleive 86. I was in my prime in the early 90s but l still boog now. Im 47. Nice talkin with u man👍
Guys keep an eye out 2010/2011 for Jono Bruce signature bodyboarders by Inverted (crafted by Glenn Taylor). They look sick; they might be shipped out by August of this year!
@bigyatla the reason why he isnt getting paid is because he wastes it all on booze and drugs, this is why no one wants to pick him up, he's to big of a liability. but ya, if he didnt have a hard life that lead to this, then he'd be one of the top riders on the world tour
I still consider Jono to be the most consistent, flawless bodyboarder of all time.
He lacks other things the Rawlins and the like have
@@192837qwert nah
Yes jono best style than anyone. Even more perfect than stewart

Jono, is the most stylish rider of all time, jono its a inspiration for me this guy still killing it 💥
12-15 years ago, Jono was the style god, still is in my opinion, no one will do it like Jono did
Probably the best beach break surfing that I have ever seen.
All me and the boys wanted to do 15-16 years ago was surf as technical as Jono, proper definition of technical surfing and style
so many underground bodyboarders that arnt sponsored or anything and choose to keep it that way i beleive they are this quality and better
This guy is really good, the best rider I have ever seen... easy easy! Australians are really good riders, I am a huge fan of them!
