Don't worry about what the music is trying to say with China deep rooted culture, but the beauty of the music itself. People don't have to understand Chinese culture just we don't have to understand German or Polish culture, yet we love Beethoven, Mozart, Chopin, Puccini. 其实我十分怀疑外国朋友是否能了解这首曲子。 作为一个十多年前就通过了业余十级的爱好者，我现在是美国读研究生。但是从我的了解、观察、体验来看，西方朋友根本或者说及其难以了解中国文化里面这种个人、文化冲突下的纠葛。我仍然记得央视版水浒传里面梁山散伙时候的背景音乐，就是唢呐版的一枝花，那种面对一望无际荒漠下产生的苍凉之感，很好地呼应了所谓兄弟情谊在利益、历史、权利下面得分崩离析。西方的朋友不会理解大一统的中华思想。大部分的西方朋友只是认为屈服是懦弱，集体主义是一种很难避免自由主义遏制的坏制度，不理解为什么中国人、中国文化为了民族的统一和团结能够牺牲个人的利益。 I'm quite doubt whether our western friends understand this piece. As an amateur learning Erhu for 10+ years and past amateur 10 level year ago, highest level for amateur learner, I'm a postgraduate in Upenn, one of Ivy Leagues in US. From my understanding, view and experience, it is quite hard for you western friends to fully acknowledge this kind of music pieces. I still remembered this pieces as a background music in the version of Suo'na, another traditional Chinese musician instrument like trumpet, from national drama “Water Margin”. The plots of the drama, consisting of this piece, described the traditional concept of brotherhood of chineses under conditions of certain history as well as rights, which is concerned with so-called One Unification in Chinese' Minds. Considering compromising as a yielding and cowarding, most of western friends take "Collectivism", in chinese concepts, as one kind of bad political or mind concept, which leads to confusion about sacrificing personal rights for national rights. As far as i'm concerned, it is possible that i might think too much about my homeland and nation according to this piece. Yet, I did not take this opinion. I'm proud of BEING CHINESE and a LERNER of ERHU. My statements may be out of logic but speaks of my own minds as a whole.

為何我有這樣的疑惑？因為我之前從没看過宋飛站着說話，每次看影片也是在演奏，宋飛演奏時的樣子 美 得 多 了 ！
原來，一個人專心投入時，連樣貌也不一樣！

我也不觉得一般的外国人能理解中国的这些民族音乐，主要是背后深含的文化与情感，没有土生土长在这片土地上，没有对这个中华民族文化认同，没有经历这个国家在时代中的变迁，应该很难体验到那种意境

演奏者关于一枝花的介绍完全不到位。
山东老家农村红白事有请响器班子的风俗。老家嫁女一枝花是唢呐必吹曲目。上半部分表现的是女儿对娘家的难分难舍, 下部分是对新生活的向往。
听一枝花一定要听唢呐版, 强烈感觉扑面而来, 几秒钟就能催人泪下。
