First 2 series had there weapons like modern and somewhat fueled by energy but distracting eye candy were toned down, newer are only effects flashing and horrible noise. Like flashy packaging and no substance. For comparison since I play both... Kata's daggers and Akali's kunai effects around weapon is huge difference even though we are talking about similar type of weapon.
I really think the new ones (jax, naafiri, gankplank) were less flashy when it comes to the effects, like somethings a bit off for me, especially jax and gp, jax effects weren't flashy enogh for me and gp's bomb doesn't feel impactful, I was like bro you call that an explosion?
@@astrodaboy hyper production, last year they fired a lot of people but produced 2 many skins with shorthanded staff, so a lot of skinlines were just recycled even though some should be put on hold till they get some ideas. When something is forced it's made just to be made but let's say Cho's skins, they are banger after banger because since he isn't the most popular champion, they are made just when they have cool concepts plus the dude who works on them was previously making fan art for him... Imagine you have to make over and over the same thing but you are out of ideas
I like that Gangplank is in the project universe and I really don’t see the problem with him being a pirate, because in all universes they can at least be clowns. Moreover, piracy exists and is even widespread in our digital world, so this is not a problem. he is a combination of cyberpunk 2077 and sundowner from MGR, which makes him suitable in this line of skins than the same Sylas stripper project, the Irellian project with flying blades using the mind and the Senjuani project on a mini car with legs. The only problems are why gangplank didn’t work out so well for everyone, the main problem is its weapons, if the gun is okay, but the sword seems to have been pulled out of the line of arcade skins. And the presence of purple, as for me, was unnecessary, this gradient spoils both the weapons and the effects.
