@WilliamTing I this lead me on a music learning journey. It's like when I learnt that "Pump it," was sampling "Miserlou," which samples a scale from the Byzentine Empire
Yeees! Our computer was badass. As long as we finished classwork we could play games on the pcs or bring out own floppy disk game. The battle was real, but then we all hovered in fear as they went throughout the game
This was before cd rom and color monitors were made but still had a great time playing this for hours when I was ten or eleven!!! I didn’t have any siblings at the time so I had it all to myself!!!!!
I feeeeel you! I typed in everything from “night janitor” to “night security ” and couldn’t find it. I finally found this game by typing in “Night school game 2000” 😂
@@TSBilliards86 I only had this on ms dos as well and it was in blue and black! No colored monitors back then. At least not for us! So cool to find this! I just searched ROBOT DETECTIVE GAME and was able to point it out right away!!! So cool to see it in color!!!
This game brings back so many cherished memories I didn't know I could recall. It's funny how video games experiences can conjure up memories just as powerful as an old familiar smell. I can literally remember this overworld theme song striking terror into my heart as a kid. The most intimidating OP enemies would just POP UP wherever and scare you to death. There was an element of impending doom laced into the background, movement, and sounds of this game. One of the best kids DOS games if not the best in my opinion.
In elementary school, “computer lab,” if we completed typing lessons early, we could play this game. For me, typically only 5-10 minutes at most and I could never really accomplish much in that time, so I never made much progress on this game. Still, it is forever engrained in my memory and I knew I’d find it on YT. I haven’t seen this game in 25 years and I still remembered it vividly.
Abso fucking lutely! And I would hate it if we only had like 5 minutes left at the end of class to get to play the fun games. I loved this one so much. Lol
This game was made 33 years ago. It's retro and scary at the same time. Morty Maxwell and his robotic henchmen scare the crap out of kids who play it on their 🖥s. 😱
Lol such nostalgia, my parents were struggling and still managed to get me one of those really heavy brick sized computers (they were all big at that time) and I can distinctively remember playing this game every day for a couple of years, my brother was still 3-4 and was too young to have interest in gaming so I’d have it all to myself. Amazing, golden years if you ask me.
I have this game on my modern Windows 10 laptop today! Using Dosbox Emulator to run it in. Played it as a kid. Now as a 40-year old guy, I play it for nostalgic value. Yeah, I know it is for children..
Oh my God I remember playing this when I was seven years old, I’m so glad that things do exist like this on the Internet. I usually hate things on the Internet because it’s ruining everything but the fact that I can see stuff like this it takes me back.
Unfortunately it seems this person hasn’t played the game yet so it can be tricky the first one or two times! I used to play this for hours before cd/rom was invented. Even now in my forties I wouldn’t mind having a copy of it to play for the nostalgia! It’s been at least 30 years or more since I last played it but was always in my memory! I’ve really missed this game!!!
Ahhh memories! I remembered fighting to use the computers that have this game installed in school with my classmates and can never get my hands off of it!
Anybody think "Sonic the Hedgehog"1991 game stole "Midnight Rescues"1989 villan? Morty Maxwell and Dr. Robotnik are literally the same person. Both look the same and build evil robots. Concidence?
Thanks for depicting this game to lose both times for the elementary school in my town that will be closed after the new elementary school that will merge all of the town's elementary schools is completed!
I can’t believe I’m as old as this game lol. Not sure when exactly in 1989 it came out but I’m lucky to have been part of the Apple computers in the Classroom generation 🤣😹
First kid in my school to reach 1 Million Points.once you hit it nothing happens. Remember the next year a teacher wanted me to do it again. The thrill was lost 😂
Let's hope it was a kid playing this game otherwise u suck with the clues n u picked the wrong robot even after getting the clues it said bag not basket 😂😂
I had to look up the name of this game but I played this afternoon lot of it as a kid. Lol, I am pretty confident that I played better than the video creator as a kid. So many wasted shots.
It just irritates the hell out of me for the stupid decision at the end. You had all the clues and photos to make the right decision and then you make the wrong one. Turbo was holding a basket, not a bag!!!
If this game ever gets reissued, I hope they'd edit the recipe at 1:26 to Seed Butter No-Cook Honey Balls to be more modern for a new generation of children because peanut butter isn't the only seed butter there is, there is also almond butter, cashew butter, soy butter and sunflower seed butter, and they work with the recipe.
Anybody else have this games music stuck in your head for 30 years?
FYI the music is called "Sorcerer's Apprentice" from Paul Lukas.
Haha well it's 28 years for me! Lol
That’s why I’m here😂😂😂
That music has been stuck in my head when Mickey used it to bring brooms to life
@WilliamTing I this lead me on a music learning journey. It's like when I learnt that "Pump it," was sampling "Miserlou," which samples a scale from the Byzentine Empire
I remember as a kid when people would fight for the computers, just to play this game.
Deadass
Real talk!!
For me it was the same, only it was Gizmos & Gadgets the kids usually fought over…

Same here all I remember was putting SSR into MS Dos and being scared when the robots came out of no where.
I don't know how I remembered it, didn't know the name, I just searched "mystery TV station pc game"...
So long ago, way, way back...

I went down the rabbit hole to find this game tonight .. crazy to see it after 30 years
This game scared the bejeesus out of me as a kid! Those damn robots and music!
Facts
Yes! I'd jump so much when the robots would appear!
me too! i just came here because i got reminded of this game and now i want to face my freaking childhood trauma
2022 and just here for the 90s nostalgia. Actually had a copy of this for the home computer.

Wow!! We had this game in my 3rd grade class!! Nostalgia!
I play this game relentlessly on the weekends in the early 90s
I just noticed after all this time that the music in the background is classical music. Sorcerers Apprentice; Hall of the Mountain Game; etc.
This is the game that led me to my love of classical music.
bro you let the school disappear!
Good ending

I think I was maybe like 5 or 6 when I played this game with my dad.
I only remember being scared of the robots and afraid they were going to show up.
I used to have a remastered version of this game, but I don't think I have it anymore. Still, it was really cool to see the original version!
Best time during school was getting to play this game
Nooooooooooooooooo wayyyyyyyyyyy lol haven't seen this game or played since I was a kid wow! Great fustrating memories hahaha
Am I the only one that screenshot the recipe for the peanut butter and honey balls?! That sounds so delicious! 😂😂😂
Dralen November I was thinking about it 😬
I think I tried making that as a kid.
Lol i did too!

This game was in a must play at school you was racing to a computer to play lol
I played the hell out of this game as a kid. It was probably one of the first PC games I ever played.
Love this game and the nostalgia. Although, you’re skills are lacking lol.
I LOVED THIS GAME!! I never thought I’d be able to find it, but it only took about 15 min of internet sleuthing.
That first song sounds Familiar. The hallway song. Sounds like. Mickey. The brooms. In fantasia.
once my comp froze and the music was stuck on repeat and it was late night. kinda creepy lol
Man I miss this game! They don't make games like this anymore for your computer!
Year they need to scare kids more

Loved this game so much:,)

90% of the time, it's rollo. you can guess right off the bat and get max points.
he crashed into five robots. ouch! and he has stars on his head.
It was clearly Buffo did you throw the game?
He must have confused the basket for a bag :P
This game was so much fun!
Let the nostalgia rain down down upon me!
Omg I been looking for this game
IT'S FUCKING BUFFO! BUFFO! GOD DAMMIT!
😂😂
i had the song stuck in my and it was driving me nuts. I hope this was the computer playing that game, haha. i used to love this game
Memory unlocked!
I played this all the time! I even wrote a story featuring Morty Maxwell as a villain!
Wow did the music really sound this terrible when I was a kid? I did not have this version.
There was also a Mac version that sounded better.
I wanna play this again I used to play this as a kid
Omg I loved this game!!!!!
Man, this looks amazing. The animations are so smooth. Does it have a VGA version ?
What kind of kid would want to stop a mad scientist trying to make their school disappear?
good point...
One of my favorites growing up.
My favourite game to play at primary school it was so addictive to play
Holy shit balls I finally found it!
IT WAS BUFFO. This player infuriated me.
13:31 “Stage failed”
13:40 “Game Over, Bankrupt”
I loved this games I always wished apple and/ google would make available for their App Store I always had so much fun playing it
Anyone else get Megaman vibes from this game? The bad guy looks like Dr. Wily and he has robots.
Never thought about it =)
This terrified me as a child

4th grade vibes. Played this to death, lol.

@@colinbradfield72 Nah, I'm only 33, I was born in '89, the game was still pretty popular by the late-90s in Australia, it's pretty funny
What was the game that I think was designed by the same people, and almost a copy of this game?
Does anyone know where to play with game now?
Where can I play this online?
I think even now i would struggle with some of these..
I played this when I was 8 or 9 on the family Packard bell
Opening song name?
"The Sorcerer's Apprentice" by Paul Dukas. The other one is "In the Hall of the Mountain King" by Edvard Grieg.
It was buffo

Erika Olvera I agree with you.
Great now I feel old ;-;
You're in good company =D
For some reason I remember this game without color 🤔 but maybe I was wrong
It is possible if it was in some other machine port or you played in b/w screen.
