This song to me perfectly describes how it feels to be in love with a man who is emotionally unavailable due to mental health issues, being busy fighting his demons, wanting to help but not being able to... Never heard a song that describes it better both through the lyrics and the atmosphere, and it's such a hopeless place to be in. Think it might be her best song. I do prefer the released version with the guitar in the bridge, but this is beautiful as well, however you can hear that it is unfinished.

when I bought this CD at Target, for the bonus track "flipside" the cashier was on older woman who made my day by asking me if I was excited about the album then taking my picture with it at the register lol I still remember the way my dorm room looked at night with just the lamp on and flipside playing, thinking about a boy I don't even know anymore. I remember Lana saying to the affect of, she hoped everyone would like ultraviolence as much as born to die. I didn't think she could outdo born to die, but each is a masterpiece. hearing the kids resurgence of brooklyn baby somewhat recently made me feel old lol. but at 29, I'm so glad to have shared my 20's with lana. there is beauty and strength in contemplation. her music will always bring me back to so many places and so many people.
