A twist of fate, led by mere dollars I couldn't discount on my day rate, prevented me from being in the South Tower. Instead, I found myself racing from North Carolina to NYC to cover the aftermath. My camera broadcasted the very first live shots of the Pentagon post-attack, and I had the humbling privilege of working with ABC News for the subsequent 42 days. Among the tumult and tragedy, a divinely orchestrated moment arrived where I shared the Gospel with the renowned ABC News anchorman, Peter Jennings, who was reportedly an atheist. It wasn’t a sermon, just a pocket Bible and a genuine act of sharing. Join me as I recount the profound ways God has weaved His Love into my experiences, reminding us to always be attuned to His call.

I’m too young to remember 9/11 unfortunately. But from what I’ve been taught about it, there are many stories of faith and unity in the country in the days following the horrific attacks. My Mom says she is grateful for a kids network that provided a safe place for me on such a difficult day.
I grab every opening to speak the truth brother...good work

Good story, Jim. Gotta love Peter Jennings. He died four years later. Jennings, a former smoker, announced in April that he had been diagnosed with the disease. He began smoking at age 13, and smoked until the mid ? 90s, when he was encouraged to quit by his children.
I remember him smoking like a chimney when I worked with him at the Pentagon.
