    Honestly, it might be better to have that little LED stay on while the valve is open. Sometimes, you forget that you turned it on and low and behold, your bill is 64k.

    Didn't find skip watering in the app (must have missed it 😮) like I said the app was a little confusing lol 9:22

    Great honest review.
    The weight and plastic threads are a concern.
    My faucet gets direct Desert south west Sun. It eats plastic up pretty easily.

      Happy to hear that. What other smart hose timers are you looking at?

  • @EzekielMessenger

    Does it handle an hourly watering schedule in the app ... meaning can I schedule it to run multiple times per day? I want to use this for a mister.

    • @AtHomewithLucas
      @AtHomewithLucas  3 месяца назад +1

      Yes, you can add infinite run times per day. So it can turn on and off throughout the day.

    Which sprinkler did you use for your lawn?

    • @AtHomewithLucas
      @AtHomewithLucas  2 месяца назад

      It's the Orbit 58573N H2O-6 Gear Drive Sprinkler, but it broke a week after filming this video. It did a great job sprinkling, but it's made of cheap plastic.

    Have you tried using the app outside of your home? I am looking for something like this but able to turn on the sprinklers when Im out of the country. Please let me know if this would be good or if you have any other recommendations.

    • @AtHomewithLucas
      @AtHomewithLucas  3 месяца назад

      Yes, it works perfectly outside the home. I've been in another state, and it worked just like a smart thermostat or any other smart home device.

    Any pressure loss when compared to hose directly connected to spigot? Thanks!

    • @AtHomewithLucas
      @AtHomewithLucas  3 месяца назад +1

      Great question. No, it's basically 1 to 1 pressure. They definitely used a solid valve. 💯😀

  • @jondon9963
    @jondon9963 2 месяца назад +2

    Unfortunately the valves themselves are not very waterproof. I've had two outside this summer for a few months and one is already trashed and corroded from water infiltration. Really wanted to like this as the app is great and integrates nicely with my Rachio sprinkler controller.

      Yeah, it's sad that companies are just making plastic on plastic junk these days. Thanks for sharing with us. 💯😁

      @@AtHomewithLucas On a positive note, I was able to dry this out, clean it up and it powered up with new batteries. For now, I may put this in a ziplock bag and eventually get some type of "shield to place on top to keep the heavy rain off of it. As I mentioned, the app is great and I really want to keep this. Also saw a fix for the power cord issue to the hub that I may do.

    What's the wifi hub for?

    • @AtHomewithLucas
      @AtHomewithLucas  3 месяца назад +1

      So the hub connects to your wifi then sends a signal to the timer to turn on or off when you use the app. The smart timer has no wifi connection.

    • @klroth025
      @klroth025 3 месяца назад +1

      @@AtHomewithLucas Does the timer communicate with the hub via Bluetooth?

    • @AtHomewithLucas
      @AtHomewithLucas  3 месяца назад

      @klroth025 No, it doesn't use Bluetooth. It uses a wireless frequency to send data.
