Yep. When I was in the military stationed in Maine, there was an Army recruiter who had been suspected of espionage when he was a E-4. He moved, got promoted, and when he was an E-7, the feds raided the recruiting station, arrested him, and immediately flew him to Florida to be held in federal custody. His family knew nothing until he was able to call. He left his office that day and never returned home. He was found guilty but from E-4 to E-7 the feds were investigating him (that's about 10-12 years).
