Great reaction youngster! We all know about the aerial acrobats and tenacious defense but what amazed me most about Jordan was his stamina. To go off offensively and play lock-down defense then to be able to take over late in 4th quarters was just nuts. The guy's endurance was legendary. Them cigars he smoked before games must have been laced with pulverized PEDs.

It's one thing to break down what he did -- backs up then snatches it. Watches the passing lane then runs out to steal it. Strips it and runs back for a dunk uncontested. But... it's a whole other thing... no one else has the speed, hands, agility to do ALL of those things (let alone the big man blocks). It takes having bursts of speed to be able to do that and if you also notice almost every steal NO ONE can catch him to stop him even if he steals from in front of them. He's gone before they realize it happens.

It takes a lot of energy to keep that intensity on both sides. But if you can cut off those lanes and front the post, you see how many potential easy buckets it can get you on the other side.

@@mikefromnyc4111 exactly. i see so many players seeming to rest on defense only to overexert themselves on offense

jordans quick reflexes and reaction time is what made him great. it didn't hurt that he watched a lot of film on his opponents and studied their tendencies as well.

The fact he was so intense on both sides plus no rest days off. Always played every game even preseason. Unbelievable

30 boi he could do 40 and if you pissed him off early 60 hence all the other teams coming to the team rule not to smack talk MJ
