Yeah man the 87 is highly sought after for sure. A very popular mod back in the day was to transplant the LT500 motor into the 250r chassis. With the shorter wheel base it performed very well.
Hey bro.. hope your build is going better than planned . I have a serious question. I've been struggling to find a new set of chain adjuster bolts for my lt250r quadracer. Problem is they both snapped inside the housing. And you seem like you were sent to me from above, because I was randomly searching for solutions to my dilemma. And Bam. God sent you! 😆 🤣. Anywho... I was wondering since you're local, if I bring you my bike, would you be able to help me get my 1987 suzuki lt250r back on the grid? Is there a shop number I can call? Or.
Hey bro. Thanks for reaching out. I only work on my own stuff in the garage, yeah the snapped rear chain adjusters is very common. I would search on eBay they usually have couple used carriers on the site. I also bought new OEM chain adjuster screws on eBay. If not you can also remove the carrier and take it to any local machine shop and they should be able to remove the broken adjusters no problem. Hit me up anytime for questions bro.
@@HardEnduro8 well.... then I guess I'm just gonna have to do what I was avoiding and take it to B&B for repair. I'm a Handyman, but when it comes to mechanics, I'm like a new born 👶. I completely understand. I've learned alot about my 87 lt250r from you already. So I do appreciate the content you've put out so far. Looking forward to hitting some trails with you once I get her repaired. Stay safe my guy. I'll update you on my progress soon.

Thanks bud. Yeah just sanded by hand. Painted with metal cast paint then baked in oven for 3 hours.
