You are very welcome. I once drove two hours out of my way to check out a McLaren convertible and I did not fit at all, and it went up just being a huge waste of time. I’m glad this can help you.
I'm 6'4" with a longer torso and shorter legs. I fit in my HTC C8 no problem (2LT trim seats). Just drove it back to Utah from Texas and I never felt cramped. Plenty of leg room also for me. With the seat all the way back as I always like to do, and at my preferred seat angle, I am able to keep my legs almost all the way extended while driving. Not sure yet whether I could wear a track helmet and still have clearance and free movement, but I can freely move all around (sans helmet) without my short/buzzed hair ever rubbing on the roof. I'm not sure how true it is, but in comments for a RUclips video on different channel, a few people commented that the HTC has 3 inches more head clearance than the coupe.
Watch coupe videos. Tall guys hit the b pillar and actually move the seat forward. Thanks for this video. I have hope for fitting. Time for a trip to the dealer.
I'm 6'5" (maybe a little over) I have a z06 htc, I fit like you. Now I had a 2020 coupe for 3 years, there is not much room there. I hit my head on the roof several times on the coupe and my knees hit the dash.
Interesting video. I was told my C7 max size was 6’ 3”, so interesting others are even taller in the comments. I figured the C8 was the same (obviously not). Another way I get in my C7 and my now C8 (when I can’t open the door all the way when an ahole parks too close to your car), is the go in headfirst with hands supporting you on the seat and then sliding your legs under the steering wheel. I don’t know with you being 6’ 5” would work. By the way you have a resemblance to Ringo Starr!
Am 193cm I have a Mustang GT 2018 no problem at all not tested corvette would be intresting and also please do another video where you try to get in other sportscars like Porsche, Ferarri and Lamborgine see how it works outs yea that a surgestion for next video how tall are you in cm taller then me it also depends little bit how tall the legs and body is. Thank You
I'm 6'5" and my weight moves between 220-240. Inseam 35". I had three C-7s. All manual trans. I had plenty of leg room and adequate head room. When I sat in the C-8 my head would hit the roof pillar if I leaned back. I think the big issue is tall guys with thick legs and thick butt. That raises you up in the seat and impacts your head room. Tall skinny guys don't sit as high due to their skinny butt.
i never thought about that. im 6'4 240 and have a big butt as well and ill watch these 6'6 guys get in and fit fine but they are tall and skinny. damn this huge butt i have!
I'm considering selling my C2 Corvette and get the C8 for more creature comforts. I'm 6'4" 230 lb.'s and sat in one C8 coupe and it felt very tight. I noticed yours looked like a convertible and I wondered if you compared the roof. I felt like there was a bar behind my head in the coupe which I didn't notice in your video. What is your opinion? Thanks
I think you should definitely go with the convertible because you got another 3 inches of headroom which I think would be important to you. I have sat in a few C8 coupes, and I did fit in them, but they were a little tight.
You showed an interesting technique, to get on the Corvette. Especially for very tall people. I see that your legs almost touch the steering wheel: something normal for those with long legs. You could recover a few centimeters of space between your legs and the steering wheel by going barefoot (only if you are comfortable and feel safe driving barefoot).
I had three C-7s with manual trans. I nearly always took off my shoes when I drove. Not a lot of room for size 14s to move around on the pedals. Obviously won't be as much of a issue with the auto trans on the C-8.
You definitely get a little bit more headroom in the convertible. At 6 foot three I think you should be fine. Just put the seat all the way down and back. Have you sat in one yet?
@rapidblueisthenewblack4463 yes, very briefly. Head room was the last thing I was thinking about. I've heard some people say the cross bar in the non-HTC was bad for tall people if you scoot the seat back all of the way but I can't remember it being a problem. Again though, I only sat in it briefly.
@@thenatural1759 As I noted above in my post, when I sat in the coupe and adjusted the seat all the way back and down my head would hit the cross bar when I leaned back.
At 5'5", 140 lbs. and a 30-inch waist, I fit in easily. Great Hendrix top!!
Thank you for your video it helping a lot im 6.2 and now im pretty much sure it will be ok

I think the question for me is, "How old is too young for a corvette?"
DO IT!!!

Interesting, I did not know that the coop had a little bit less headroom. 3 inches is a lot. Thank you for the comment.

Thanks for this video. I'm just shy of 6'4 and I've been wondering if the C8 would work for me.

my 6'6 friend drove mine and said he was fine

Honestly it depends on your legs and torso if you 6ft5 or 6ft6. SOME GUYS HAVE LONG LEGS AND SOME LONGER TORSOS..IT makes a difference

I’m 6’5 and around 200 pounds….the issue I have is with the bolstered seats, they are tight and cut into my back/shoulders
They make a seat that would give you more head and leg room
The GT1?

I am 6'2 and 220lbs. My complaint is that I can't fully extend my left leg while seated.
The only time in life that I'm only 5'10 lol

I'm 6'3" 250lbs. My Stingray comes in next month (GT2 seats, no HTC). I hope I fit 😂🤣😂

Bro you look so cramped in there from my perspective
Really? This is a topic for a video?
Stfu probably can’t even afford the car
Yah. Cause I’m 6’4 and I’m wondering how I fit in this Vette with out having to go and bother the dealership.
You are obviously not a tall man. Later little guy...
Yeah bro they dont make sports cars for tall people. Only for midgets
Yes
