**WHY WAS THIS VILLAGE ABANONED? FULL DOCUMENTARY HERE: **ruclips.net/video/BDPT6q_4OHY/видео.html** ** So... this might have been overkill lol but at least its an amazing location!! EDIT: So happy so many want to see more! This was pretty much the whole village, but there are more small ones in the area and we ARE going back to capture more and tell the full story! Thank you all! You guys rock!! ♥️ What Would You Do? Would you visit an abandoned village like this on your own? Let me know what you think in the comments below! And @abroadinjapan ... Thank's for playing along lol. I think we can stop now haha
Lucky number 333! OMG I love this and I can't stop laughing! I have A.D.D. and the way you just "MONKEY" it was truly the definition of my life. Smh! "Easily distracted" doesn't even sum it up!! Can't wait to watch the next video!! Thanks Norm!
Chris clearly tricked you into upping your own camera game for when he hires you next. Additionally, you have tricked Chris into perpetually hiring you by having the ultimate final form camera skills. Well played lads.
Living in a state that was basically built by the gold rush here in the US means there are several ghost towns to visit, but seeing one so much more recent is amazing!
I wish this video was longer!! RUclips is basically my television so I hope to see more 15+ minute videos from you on things like this. Amazing gem of Japan. I hope to see more of your amazing cinematography and creativity in videos like this (hopefully a bit longer)!
This video was really beautiful! I know you were testing out the new 12k camera for funzies but if you ever get a chance to go back I’d love to see more of this abandoned village.
This took a turn I was not expecting, but not in a bad way. The somber peacefulness of that literal pocket in time was amazing. It’s like you could almost feel the memories of the area. As for the camera…wow! Talk about a workout! This was the smile and laugh I needed today.
That was absolutely hilarious, but the views were also absolutely mind-boggling! Amazing work Norm, as always! Thanks so much~!! Looking forward to more of these amazing work!!
The energy emanating from the item strewn about must've been intense... such wistful sadness and nostalgia. The comic book and the children's toys really got to me.
I havent watched the whole video yet but I still feel like the music just fits, again making the best music choices for the videos you make. You are making me want to go next to you on these adventures xD
I remember when 4k was coming out and that wasn't long ago. I can only imagine what the next 10 years are going to be like with new technology. Probably holographic imagining in 12T. Great video. Thanks for posting.
There are no abandoned villages where I live but there are abandoned houses and industrial buildings that I love to sneak around. Also feel really bad watching thing on my phone after all your hard work!
I'm so happy that I kickstarted the Peak Design tripod. I got the normal one and it's already lighter and compacted than most tripods I've used. The ballhead is actually way sturdier than I expected. I used to hate bringing my giant size tripod anywhere.
12K Cool! Love the abandoned village. Would love to photograph that place. There's amazing beauty and depth of story in the possible images. Thanks for the video.
Some say this was actually Tokyo Lens' last ever upload as the Monkeys kidnapped him. ANY future videos uploaded are made by a paid actor/look-a-like/sound-a-like. RIP Norm.
Filming at those frames feels like cooking with rook temp butter. Trying to export it on any computer before 2015, that feels like cooking with molasses. Amazing work!!
Could probably spend the better part of a lifetime going down back roads in Japan and coming across abandoned villages and remnants of the past in various states of decay.
It’s a comedian masterpiece!! 😂 with or without more quality I’m totally in for more abandoned house tours... like an outdoor museum bringing you back in time!
It's amazing and incredibly sad how much people leave behind when they move out of a place like this, though I suppose we don't the circumstances of the residents leaving.
I was setting down to watch a serious abandoned village video but ended up watching an abondoned 12k video 😂😂😂 your skit with Chris was absolutely overkill, killing me with laughter over and over. 🤣🤣🤣 The abandoned village looks like people just vanished, leaving their things behind. I am getting quite interested in watching these type of videos and a real adventure to see one in person would be a thrill.
SO THEN...
Time to strap eight 8k cameras together and give the people the 64k they deserve.
Why stop at 64k? Sky is the limit. Take us to the 4th Dimension.
The war has started
Live is beautiful when your internet connection only support 144p
Lol ain’t to Broady got time for that 😏 😂
Film the whole thing in 4k 360 so we can watch it in VR.

😆😆😆
The conversation with Chris was hilarious! Love it. I would be scared to go inside these homes.
I think I would at least travel with a second person for safety reasons. The banter with Chris has been hilarious.

If it can make you feel better, I watched this video on a 49" widescreen in 5120x1440 (and it was awesome; keep up the good work mate ^^)
* looks through the comment section to see if Chris has commented yet *
Beautiful shots!! That ridiculous camera was worth it😂
Thats crazy to think its just abandoned but you capture the scene so vividly its awe-inspiring.
Crazy to think of the events that had happened to make such a beautiful place abandoned.
I imagine Chris Broad watching this, scheming how he's going to 1-up your video quality 🤣💖
3D VR incoming
And now you've uncovered Chris Broad's plans 😄
I bet chris filmed it
Poor Chris just getting into 8K when this video is in the future
Chris being sarcastic > 50k video quality
Chris clearly tricked you into upping your own camera game for when he hires you next. Additionally, you have tricked Chris into perpetually hiring you by having the ultimate final form camera skills. Well played lads.
such a smart lad
Can't wait for Journey Across Japan Pt 3
Lol 12K, Chris is gonna need to upgrade his camera again huh 😆
Lol seems like it
This is kinda nostalgic, cuz my grandparents' house is kinda in similar place but haven't gone there for over a year
Thanks a lot ❤️
Maaaaan, Abandoned villages really has this magical or fantasy vibes to it. Something you would really want to explore. So exhilarating!
Yes it is
Your videos are always super good!
Norm back at it again, I dropped everything when I saw the notification
Yeaaah!!
I love how the houses are just scattered through the woods. It feels like an Animal Crossing village.
It is crazy to see how people seem to have just up and left, leaving so many possessions and memories behind. Thank you for the beautiful work Norm!
Didn’t expect the humorous twist of this video 😅 Well done! Lol.
And the cinematography and music.. beautiful. So cinematic 🙌🏻✨
I can understand how they got the inspiration for the studio ghibli's spirited away.
Me watching this on my 1080p monitor: ah yes I appreciate the high resolution film making
If your internet can handle it, tell RUclips to use 1440p. It gives the video more bandwidth and gives you less artifacts.
You're living an actual JRPG. Love your content!
Living in a state that was basically built by the gold rush here in the US means there are several ghost towns to visit, but seeing one so much more recent is amazing!
Seeing that camera resting on that TINY SLIM tripod gave me actual anxiety
I think I've seen someone put one of the larger ARRI cameras on one and it held it like a champ
Norm flexing in 12K and Chris calling him a muppet. Love it!

Well this video just absolutely made my Sunday. The call with Chris 👌🏻😂 wonderful. 💖
Got so excited to see this notification! Can't wait to watch once I get home. This one looks especially interesting.
I like how it’s just a small trail up to the village. Not even a road. And the little police box was interesting.
This took a turn I was not expecting, but not in a bad way. The somber peacefulness of that literal pocket in time was amazing. It’s like you could almost feel the memories of the area. As for the camera…wow! Talk about a workout! This was the smile and laugh I needed today.
Love Chris’s haircut!! Looks super good!
That was absolutely hilarious, but the views were also absolutely mind-boggling!
Amazing work Norm, as always! Thanks so much~!! Looking forward to more of these amazing work!!
USA: You cannot build wooden buildings more fragile than ours!
Japan: Hold my Sake.
I love abandoned places, please do more! I'd be lovely if we could get some info on why it's abandoned, or who used to live there...
The mouth to that tunnel is GORGEOUS! Binge continues.
"What a muppet." lol
The fact that you got to use that Black Magic camera is crazy! The shots looked awesome and I hope you had a blast with it
The energy emanating from the item strewn about must've been intense... such wistful sadness and nostalgia. The comic book and the children's toys really got to me.
Chris: Gets an 8k camera
Tokyo Lens: Hold my beer
Norm, everything I have seen you make is gold. Thank you for giving us these looks into places we never would have been able to see otherwise.
Just took a quick studying break to watch this!! Super excited
Hope you enjoy it!
@@TokyoLens absolutely smashed it! Hope you didn’t get run off by the monkeys
I havent watched the whole video yet but I still feel like the music just fits, again making the best music choices for the videos you make.

Ha! "Filmed in 12k" @RUclips needs to catch up
I might have been a tough ahead of the times lol
As always, it's just brilliant. See you man
What a neat place to explore! Also enjoyed the banter with Mr. Broad.
What a nice start into my day. Going online and seeing another adventure was released. Lovely.
ugh, you are so adorable! thanks for sharing the abandoned places in japan!
Loved that exchange between you and Chris lol You two work so well together!
I love the quality man. Hope can maintain this kind of quality. Good work 🔥🔥
That was soo cool! I love how you set up ur shots in this vid! Can't wait for journey across japan series now!
The scripted moments were so well done! And the overwhelmingly positive norm vs. snarky sarcastic chris is always great
Very enjoyable video. I hope to see more calming abandoned buildings/villages in the future.
There are no abandoned villages where I live but there are abandoned houses and industrial buildings that I love to sneak around. Also feel really bad watching thing on my phone after all your hard work!

I love the hills and the greenery so much. Perfect video for stress release.
I would love to buy one of those abbandoned houses just so I could fix it up. So much history in places like that. Thank you.
This place is so breathtaking, kinda reminds me of the movie Spirited Away
This video is amazing!!! Love your personality! Loved the quality of the images!!
Nice job Norm, your the man!
I think they abandoned their house bc they kept missing that immediate left turn
Your photography never disappoints! I love your abandoned places videos.
So glad I could watch this in 2160p.
This RUclipsr needs more subs! I always love watching his contents! 😍
He's awesome. Now that I think about it, it's because of Sharla that I found both Norm and Quinlan's channels.
That end scene/shot was so cool.
Just in time ! I just got done with chores !
Here I was, thinking that 8K already is a total overkill :D
I love how beautifully this was shot and I think this is just a beautiful place to explore personally because I enjoyed going into abandoned places
Amazing video! Always impressed with your creativity
For once I’m able to watch when I get the notification! Oh I’m looking forward to this one
Wooo!!
Oh gosh, thanks for the laughs! Good luck with monkeys in the future Norm, seems like they’re plotting something....
7:06 yep. Didn't hear the first time, but that time I heard it.
On my phone but I must say it looks crystal clear and could definitely see the difference when it switched to Chri. It is an amazing camera
12K Cool! Love the abandoned village. Would love to photograph that place. There's amazing beauty and depth of story in the possible images. Thanks for the video.
I wish every documenters use 12k cam, the video looks beautiful~ 🤭 *me watching in my phone*
That music went so well with this video 🥰
Another awesome video norm as always keep up the great work
@Tokyo Lens 12k or not, the cinematography is brilliant as always
Some say this was actually Tokyo Lens' last ever upload as the Monkeys kidnapped him. ANY future videos uploaded are made by a paid actor/look-a-like/sound-a-like. RIP Norm.
Filming at those frames feels like cooking with rook temp butter. Trying to export it on any computer before 2015, that feels like cooking with molasses. Amazing work!!
This is visually breathtaking! Well done, sir.
Could probably spend the better part of a lifetime going down back roads in Japan and coming across abandoned villages and remnants of the past in various states of decay.
Had to watch three times at different resolutions to see how far we have come. My first computer was a 286 clone with a VGA card.....
Have found the "whatever you can do I can do it better" banter between you and Chris to be the highlight of the shorts and tweets I've seen 🤣.
Of course Norm loved the purple (very purple indeed) flowers outside the village! Excellent video as always!
These videos are really inspiring for art backgrounds and comic ideas, I LOVE this content!
Norm you absolute legend! This whole 8k 12k made me bust out laughing.
I see a Norm video, I go watch, I press like.
That went from mini doco to goof real fast 😂 what a fun video.
BRAW is an amazing format for compression/quality.
"Shot in 12k"
Me: Mmm yes I see everything with my 1080p phone screen.
It’s a comedian masterpiece!! 😂 with or without more quality I’m totally in for more abandoned house tours... like an outdoor museum bringing you back in time!
Awesome stuff Norm! I can't wait to see your work on the new Journey Across Japan Series. Loved the Broad cameo lol
Another great video in excellent quality. I agree when animals start getting a little too close for comfort it's time to go. Be safe out there.
I am so exited for journey across Japan 3, keep up the good work guys love you.
Great video brother, cool 12K, the area looks beautiful, that guitar in the abandoned house is the start of an anime/manga lol
Really interesting and fun video :) Thanks for sharing
Absolutely loved this! Adventure and comedy all in one!
The quality is magnificent
This is stunning, amazing work once again Norm. Thank you for bringing us to these places.
It's amazing and incredibly sad how much people leave behind when they move out of a place like this, though I suppose we don't the circumstances of the residents leaving.
Cant wait for the blissfull adventure
