When a man comes 2nd at Worlds 2023 and 3rd at Worlds the following year with multiple achievements in between, he is already one of the most consistent players in the game. Look up to you Michael!
You’re not alone with wanting to have those matchups! I’d love to see you finally matched against Wolfe or Emilio during a tournament and I’d guess a lot of others would agree! Just want to say well done and keep it up! Definitely have become a fan of your playstyle and really look forward to seeing more from you in the future
There are a whole bunch of amazing and inspiring VGC players, but three that immediately come to mind for me personally would be Wolfey, Justing Tang and you. I stumbled on Wolfey's channel while i was binging reaction videos to the Legends Arceus trailers, thought his other videos were really cool and started watching the VGC livestreams because of him. There's nothing like watching one of his tournament recap videos. He's the GOAT for sure. Justin Tang came out of nowhere, wins two of his first three regionals, and proved that you didn't need years of experience to have success. You need mental strength, a good team and practice, but it doesn't have to take years. There are many fantastic players that have never won a regional and i don't want to take away from their accomplishments, but Justin's debut was honestly insane. Then its my first time watching Worlds and there's suddenly this German guy i had never heard of showing up on stream with a Farigiraf and Dragapult, which had barely seen any use in the months before Worlds, and makes it to the finals. And he nearly does it again a year later! Your case was kinda similar to Justin Tang's, but it hits closer to home when the player is a fellow German, and it wasn't "just" a regional but Worlds. I would probably be more serious about actually playing competitive Pokemon myself if i didn't have to work six days a week in retail, but as it is i simply enjoy watching you guys play.
I’m really looking forward to seeing your journey in 2025. I haven’t put much thought into competitive Pokemon as of 2023, but in 2024 I started to really get into it watching people like Wolfe, and you prove yourself in regionals and IC’s. One thing I really appreciate about you is that you make guides for vgc and smogon formats to help explain how to adapt and improve your own skill level. Battling you in a Randbats marathon on the Random battles showdown server was also a dream come true. I had the chance to finally test my self against players with tons of knowledge and to see how I would match up if I went pro. Even though I won due to a bit of luck, I still see you as someone I can learn from and get better by watching. And it seems to be helping. A few days ago I got my first ever medal on showdown for randbats, before I got greedy and went 400 points deep… But to be back track, I look forward to seeing you do well in the 2025 season (more then you even have now) and I hope I get to someday go to a regional or an event to try to test out my knowledge and skill.
Wolfey, Michi, Marco the big 3 players in SV

I meet Michael in Sao Paulo, he's a very nice guy, we were talking in LAIC around 10 mins about VGC and life.
This video goes unbelievably hard. 🔥
Being a huge fan of both you and Marco I can't wait to see this rivalry grow and see more success for two of the goats
Well he certainly wasn't lying with his name.
Great video, very insightful.
I’ve been thinking this for a while but never commented yet, but MDB is a sweet nickname.
Sweet mother of content
