I am 71 and I grrew up using sheaffer cartridge foundation pens in grade school. That little post has always been to help pierce the disposable cartridge as you screwed the nib cartridge body into the body of the pen which held the disposable cartridge that was full of ink. There were no conversion kits back then. I don't know if the quality of pen has change much. However the styling looks have changed greatly. They were an OK pen. A tough everyday working pen. We were kids using them. They had to stand up to a lot of abuse, then bounce back when we required it to write and function.
Purchased this pen and am astonished at how well it works! I am a professional artist and am using it for research sketching. You just never know with fountain pens!
I have a number of SHEAFFER pens. They write well. What drew me to your video was the fact you write left handed. There are not many videos out there from those who ... go right. I do not write cursive, I print. I wonder when I see pens with cursive right and left nibs which would work for a left handed writer. Any thoughts?
@@herrsteppenwolf I have another video with some custom nib grinds I uploaded recently that may give some more insight in to that question. Normally cursive italic nibs I can’t use. I’ve tried and it has to be curved the other direction

That is a great ink. It should match the pen quiet nicely.
Awesome color
Looks more on the yellow side than I expected.
I think it should smell like coffee too 😅
KWZ Smells Like Coffee ink would fix that.

I order mine whit a medium nib and ink I choose Colorverse Coffee Break @ Appelboom , hopefully a smooth and on the wetter side
Mine was a medium as well!
Good review, but having that pattern as a backdrop makes it hard to focus on the pen
Removed for new video. I have like 3 more that still will use it
