    (©2015 FiL Wisneski)
I was born in Pequannock Valley
I played 'neath the oak and white birch
On weekdays I got all my schoolin'
And on Sundays Daddy'd take us to church
My momma had to cook for six children
My daddy had to work oh so hard
We wore hand-me-down clothes from our cousins
The local kids all played in our yard
    Chorus:
Before I die take me back to Pequannock
    The land I remember best
Let me see Greenview Park, fireflies after dark
Then I can take my final rest, oh
I can take my final rest
There was Jones' Hardware, Pal's, and Marco's
Plains Pantry, and the Big Dip
We'd go to PV Park for some swimmin'
And Cardullo's when we were sick
    Chorus:
Before I die take me back to Pequannock
    The land I remember best
Let me see Greenview Park, fireflies after dark
Then I can take my final rest, oh
I can take my final rest
When I grew to be a man, I moved southward
To build me a life of my own
But as my Judgement Day draws closer
I wish I was back in my home
    Chorus:
Before I die take me back to Pequannock
    The land I remember best
Let me see Greenview Park, fireflies after dark
Then I can take my final rest, oh
I can take my final rest, boys
I can take my final rest
