Joker lead his team in scoring, assists, rebounds, steals, and all advanced stats.

SGA is amazing but this isn't close to a snub.

Bruh, SGA took the youngest team in the league to the 1st seed in a tough Western conference which included being ahead of the nuggets and beating them 3- 1 in the reg season. We have a rookie as our starting C, an undrafted player in Dort, a 2nd year player in J Wub and giddey who did not have a great year at SF. Most people can't even name our bench players. Jokic is an absolute beast and I take nothing away from how good he is but cmon.. Theyre defending champs. On paper he has much more help than Shai did. I feel like people voted for Jokic because they didn't do it last year when they should've. SGA was robbed

@@heisenberg3183how is Jokic' team better? People overrate Murray, when his career numbers aren't much different than Jalen Williams' (Williams is actually more efficient). I'd argue Williams is more valuable since he can play positions 1 through 4 (Murray isn't that versatile). As a matter of fact, Williams logged 83% of his minutes at the 4 last year.
You're underrating the value Giddey gives you at the guard position alongside Shai. And Aaron Wiggins, Cason Wallace, and Isaiah Joe are great glue guys off the bench.
Chet Holmgren was a solid starter, and had a great rookie season, especially coming off that foot injury.
Imo, y'all have a better overall supporting cast. Only MPJ is decidedly better than Dort (and it's not even close---coz Dort is garbage, ion care how good he is defensively). Gordon is a really good player, but I highly doubt y'all are trading us Jaylen Williams for Gordon, so just stop with these BS narratives.

It’s bizarre man. It’s like they all value PPG above all else, or they’re guards or wings and don’t like it when bigs or Euros win. It’s not like Teague was some scrub, he was an above average player in the league for while, so he should know as well as anyone why Jokic is the best player in the league. Shai had a great season, and is a pretty easy pick for second best this year, but Jokic put up yet another all time great season for counting stats, advanced stats, and winning. If they beat the T-Wolves which is their toughest opponent from a matchup standpoint then they likely will win the title again, but all these lazy-ass analysts and former players will STILL find a way to diminish Jokic’s accomplishments.

shai was the 1 seed. jokic was the 3 seed. the MVP race was very close, so you ultimately have to give it to the better player. if luka was the 1 seed, and jokic the 3 seed, you'd give luka cos the gap between them isn't as much as the gap between jokic and shai. plus luka had to do more with way way less, plus injuries throughout the season, which is why if the mavs were the 1 seed, it'll be unanimous.

Denver won the championship last season and were expected to be title contenders again this year.
