Pacific Sappers Leading the Pack

During a partnership visit to their sister unit in Papua New Guinea, Sappers from the 3rd Combat Engineer Regiment (3CER) participated in a weighted pack march at Igam Barracks, Lae.
The physical training session started before first light, allowing Australian and Papua New Guinean Combat Engineers to bond through tough combined training.
The ‪@AustralianArmyHQ‬ and Papua New Guinea Defence Force are partnering for Olgeta Warrior 2023, a series of annual training activities in PNG to build and enhance the longstanding relationship between our two countries.
ADF members, primarily from the Australian Army’s 3rd Brigade, are training with their PNGDF counterparts, developing a variety of military skills including leadership, operational planning, vehicle maintenance, logistics, health and other specialist qualifications.
Olgeta Warrior has been happening since 2009 and continues to build shared understanding, professionalism, leadership, discipline and military capability.
