- Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny is releasing in theaters today! ^^ I originally had a massive video planned where I go over a bunch of cartoons inspired by Harrison Ford's biggest character, but after some age restriction problems that happened with my last video, my time was cut a lot shorter than I expected. X) So instead, here's a fun little story of a Netherlands animator who essentially gave us a taste of what an Indiana Jones animated series might have looked like! (And based on Disney Plus rumors might look like!) It's not lost media or anything, but I've never seen anyone cover its history before and it is pretty interesting. ^^ Taking inspiration from Batman the Animated Series' intro, I give you The Adventures of Indiana Jones! A little obscure, a little dark, and a lot of hard work! Hope you guys enjoyed this little deep dive! Be sure to comment and like if you enjoyed it. ^^
P.S - The jokes about Kingdom of the Crystal Skull were inevitable, but honestly, I don't think it's as dreadful as everyone makes it out to be. X)
P.S.S - I know for a fact Patrick Schoenmaker is never gonna see this, but it feels good to bring one of his most interesting animations to light. ^w^
P.S.S.S - Did you know Lucas film only has 4 franchises? Yeah, just Star Wars, Indiana Jones, American Graffiti and Willow. That's it. XD
P.S.S.S.S - Temple of Doom is cool ok? I'm tired of people saying it's not XD

Y'know if they ever did a Indiana Jones animated series, i picture it as something like the Ducktales reboot, where its a adventure of the week with a big underlining plot, funny enough alot of the old scrooge mcduck comics were one of an inspiration for Indiana Jones.
A TV cartoon would've been nice, but short films work just as well 😊
We could've gotten a cartoon?
We could've gotten a cartoon.
the movie fans that viewed this in IMDB don't know, Obscure Movie Fans watched a little, but it's unknown, this movie goes to Tier 6 in the obscure movie iceberg @@erynnmurphy2996
Oh come on, Crystal Skull wasn't THAT bad. I saw it opening weekend and found myself really liking it. But this animated short is especially great and I feel cheated we never got a Indy animated show.
i agree forget the haters it ROCKS
Yeah, an Indiana Jones cartoon would be pretty awesome, besides it could still happen. Anyways, I will be seeing Dial of Destiny with my Dad this weekend. I will try go in with low expectations to see if I can at least walk out of the film enjoying it.
2:50 would of loved an Indiana Jones cartoon I mean hell look at the Atlantis movie cartoon
YEAH! It would so work!
Even though I'm not an Indiana Jones fan, this video and short was cool and fun. Thanks Finn for the video and can't wait for the Helluva Boss 108 review next week! See you soon!!!
You know I never thought about Indiana Jones getting a animated show which I would have loved because I can see it being similar to Jackie Chan Adventures especially with other mature movies who already got a cartoon based on them like The Mummy, Beetlejuice, Evolution, MIB, Jumanji, Godzilla, Gremlins, Back to the Future, & many more
Animation is what they really should do with Indiana Jones franchise from here on out Harrison ford is not able play to indie forever.
Hear me out.
What if they went with an animated anthology series? Bounce around his timeline, show us some of Indy's less famous adventures on Disney+.
Maybe do what Young Indiana Jones Chronicles TRIED to do, but with more action and adventure.
Cut out Baby Indy but have Harrison Ford (or a soundalike) voice "modern" Indy with the occasional adventure from a younger version. Hell, flashbacks could be a thing.
Maybe we see more of Short Round. Or maybe "Fedora" appears again. Or Indy's childhood friend Herman Mueller.
The possibilities are endless!
See if Genndy Tartakovsky can fit time in his schedule to oversee this and we're golden!
That's a really great idea! If an Indy cartoon ever comes out, I hope they go with this approach.
Patrick' s art could work for so many media, cartoons, graphic novels, even a good old school adventure game like lucasarts used to do
I mean, we also have an animated Night at the Museum movie by Disney so maybe it's better than we don't have an animated Indiana Jones movie by Disney.
I'm getting Atlantis vibes.
With so many movies/games that got their own cartoons, it's weird that Indiana Jones didn't get one. I mean, Conan the Barbarian, Highlander, and even Mortal Kombat got cartoons. And they are some of the most violent properties in history!
HOW AM I JUST FINDING OUT ABOUT THIS NOW! I love Indiana Jones, I have seen all the movies and even watched the Young Indy Chronicles (really good show btw Finn I highly recommend it.)
Would've loved to see an Indy cartoon back in the 90s to early 2000s. It probably would've been one of my favorite cartoons from ny childhood.
when is part 3 of your Mario Movie sequel pitch coming out?
Ok im gonna be honest. I never watched a singel Indiana Jones movie, but i did play the lego game that one is a classic
I would watch a Indy cartoon today , especially if it was batman beyond quality
OMG dutch animator spotlighted and we talk about Montana Jones my number 1 favorite furry anime aaaand nimona came out and its groundbreakingly good, truly it feels like my birthday well its not even my birthday
I normally don't comment anything, but I would absolutely die for something like this, it's one of those things like lego ninjago in my opinion that can be reworked with lots fo adventure stories as Indiana Jones is no stranger to curses, mystery and macabe.
Finn… stop making me want another Henry stickmin game more than I already do
You should watch Tad the Lost Explorer 1,2 and 3 it pretty good.
A cartoon made in the 90s would have been great.
Yeah, no Disney ain’t going to do anything with it, and if they are they’ll somehow ruin it 😑
If there were an Indiana Jones cartoon that was shown on TV during my childhood, like if it were on in the late 1990s or early 2000s, I'd watch it. It's a shame it never happened.
In the words of Dicktor Van Doomcock (aka Overlord DVD on RUclips)
"Without respect, we reject."
Agreed. As good as this 1 minute animation is, it's the writing that carries all stories. And given the recent movie? *sharp breath* We're gonna need it to not be in disney's hands in order for it to be trusted.
A cartoon would be perfect! A great way to redeem and give us fans what we love about him!
schoenmaker means Shoemaker for those who wonder
Im Dutch!!!!!!
.... why dod we never get this.
I never watched an Indiana jones movie entell I watched Dailey of deasty and I wondering if I should watched the other movies?
Yes you should watch the first three films instead Dill of Density, the first trilogy are a masterpiece. You could watch Crystal Skull if you're a completionist but it's not necessary.

When is the mario movie 2 part 3 coming out???
Make a video about bendy in the cup head show plz!!!!😁😁😁😁😁
Where is the clone high reboot review
Are you gonna do a video on the Little Mermaid remake?
I'm going to be brutally honest, i never really cared about Indiana Jones (Neither Star Wars...) so until this moment i always tought that Indiana was only used for shits a giggles in many MANY Media content, heck i didn't even know this and star wars were from the same studio, if i have to add value to this franchise is pretty much meh, i guy needs to find treasure, fight some baddies, some minor or major racism in the mix, the beautiful lady, saves the day, do and repeat for another 3 to 5 movies; I don't think any of this is bad, it's just that I could be totally ok just watching 1 movie or series about it and i wouldn't ask for more. But in the animation department i think i would be a great idea to bring this back, lately there's being more or less a resurgence of old more or less forgotten franchise (Carmen Sandiego, She-Ra, Voltron, A New Series of Superman after 20 or so years of nada) so it would be nice giving this a new take, like some kind of introspection about the character (maybe you can make him a time traveler or something, make him retrieve treasure that are too dangerous to live alone, make him being tired of his job and wanting to find meaning in life again, make the FLEA be his sidekick, idk, it sounds funny). New animation is always welcome. (With exceptions yeah i'm talking to you Boss Baby, you know what you did!).
potato is gud
i have never seen the indiana jones cartoon film, people watching this forgotten movie went to fade to obscurity, reddit users thinks that this cartoon movie is very obscure
Please Bring back animation multiverse pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease
First
I would have watched a cartoon in that style.
Skipping Dailtone of Density. It's not indy, it's "modern indy."
Temple of Doom is objectively worse than Crystal Skull and I will fight you about that (joking)
i would
what you dont like crystal skull come on finn you are better than this
you buthered the name Schoenmaker
It is pronounsed like the word shoe than just an N and then M-AH-KER
