Originally ATEEZ were supposed to be called New World with a focus on using empowering songs and a common theme of exploration and self discovery. I think for them it was better to associate their concept more closely with Pirates because the Pirate theme in kpop was never really this fleshed out nor common.
If you catch any movie or anime references, you’re probably right. HongJoong and Edenary use them as reference ideas A LOT!! They have mentioned One Piece & Pirates of the Caribbean before. You’ll see many more movie references if you haven’t already.
I'm so insanely excited for this journey- it has been so long since I have watched anyone's introduction to Ateez from the beginning; so long since I've seen a reaction to Pirate King and Treasure 🥺💗 I won't spoil anything obviously cuz you said not too but I'm literally UGH omg omg omg omg I'm so excited I can't- I've never cried so much during a reaction before, and I smiled until my face physically hurt, heLp, this is a new thing for me 😭😭😭😭😭 Thanxx so much for your reaction and thank you Carlos for taking interest in our Ateez!!! Very much enjoying this journey. The storyline is something I struggle with. I understand it more then any other groups storyline but I’m always looking forward to others theories. So tackling this from a purely storyline way, I’m intrigued.😊 Looking forward to the next one!😁
Oh this will be interesting journey to follow. I’m someone who started to stan Ateez just at the end of 2021 (I tried so hard to stay away from K-pop since I’ve been into Korean culture, even though I’ve watched this world approximately without trying to engage to it directly, yet I was aware and I knew most groups, popular songs, most iconic and shocking moments, 2018 is still haunting me to this day, ngl, and other important aspect of this world. But Ateez were able to capture me and I sailed with them), anyway as I was saying I had to go backwards to learn about them and to discover their discography. So it’s interesting to see someone getting to know them “chronologically”, I would like to see and to know what his opinions will be in the future and if he will have some favourite songs. It’s so satisfying to see new people getting on board of the ship called Ateez. Let’s gooo!!!
That Intro was played at KCON LA 2019 and after that performance ATEEZ got soo much Attention globally And at MAMA 2019 they caught Knetz attention MAMA 2019 will never be toped by any rookie except xikers(their lil brothers) It shook me to core

ATEEZ and EXO have an Iconic Discography And ATEEZ did most of EXO covers in last 5 years Wolf Kingdom was also KQ Decision as that was choreographed at ATEEZ Dorm That's why Many ATINY'S are EXO-L and vice versa I am ATINY and I love EXO Music ❤
