Old Country BBQ Pits puts out a fantastic smoker!!! Been using mine for years and still love it. It’s a brisket cooking machine!!!

Man I made the best beef ribs I’ve ever eaten on this thing. Did just salt and pepper. My kids bought me this for Father’s Day and its by far my favorite smoker in my arsenal.

Thank you for the review. I ended up with a higher quality offset from Sunterra (also from Texas). I have a Santa Maria pit from them and love it. It will take a month until I get it. That did not change anything when learning what to do when starting out with a new smoker. Changing from pellet smokers seems to be a challenge but worth the extra effort.

I’ve been looking for a really nice Santa Maria setup. Old country sells one as well but I might checkout that one as well.

@@Fork-And-Embers I was going to get an Old Country like you have but by the time I rented a trailer, drove 40 miles each way to the dealer and hoped to get a "good one" the price difference for the quality and having it delivered was not as great in my mind. I am not knocking Old Country since I have never owned one, I have just looked at a lot of reviews.
Looking at the statistics the Sunterra is way heavier so they are using more metal somewhere. I have purchased so many smokers over the years, from electric to gas to pellets and the cheaper ones only last so long. This should be my forever smoker. If it lives up to my expectations I just might have to make a video like you have.
The Santa Maria pit is a built in and was purchased in 2017. It is a good now as the day I bought it. The only thing I have done other than cleaning is re-painting the red wheels since the California sun had faded them. I cook on it very often.
Keep posting your great videos and we will keep watching them.

Oh yea that’s rough. What do you have access to there? If you could find something with 1/4” steel, you’re set usually. As long as the flow is good. You might be able to find people who build them near you

Subscribed, really enjoyed WSM video since I am planning to buy my first smoker. remember my granddad smoking with smoker where firepit was under ground and pipe was running underground to smoke chamber made of wood above the ground. But I guess I will be not building this one:)
Can You post an uncensored version as well of this video

Thanks for the kind words. Yea that’s a pretty unique smoker. Don’t think I’ve ever seen one like that. As far as the uncensored version, I might need to start a patreon or something so I can drop the uncensored version. RUclips doesn’t like all of the “profanity” 🙄

My sons bought me this for my birthday a few years ago and I love it. Oklahoma Joes are a great product as well. If they made a 1/4 inch smoker, it would be tough to pass up.
