Man I love this! Seems like this beast gets further down the track everytime Scott takes it out! I down understand why this thing isn't getting traction though. Looked like it was spinning tires that whole run, but stuck! That 300mph pass isn't far away!
This is a wild experiment that is still a work in progress. With the horsepower he is dealing with, it's just a matter of getting the right weight transfer to the rear wheels. I would love to see what this thing can do hooked up on full pass.
The clutch was actually killing power. It was good but dragging the power down something awful. I love Scott. He is the king to me.ive been in his tractor trailer at the gators and maybe I can get on the starting line launch one day. They say no one can but it’s funny all the mlb and nfl guys can. I raced outlaw promod. We called it Dixie pro stock. We was doing the nitrous thing in 1978 which is now pro mod.,I can’t afford it Anymore. My disabled ass dream is sitting on the line and hearing these beast leave. Goes to show if you famous you can do anything you want… but Scott is the king of ihra and nhra, and Australia….. the throttle whacks alone make him the greatest ever to sit in one. He is all about the fans. And everything he does is for us people. If you love racing and top fuel, support Scott Palmer . The rest have the big bucks!!! Scott does it for we the people. Si support him please.. thank you
From a technical point of view, what was going on with the motor just after launch @2:11 onward there was the initial RPM hit, then 4 distinct changes before it evened out then went flat before the traps. Does it have a transmission or was there something else going on, just interested.
@@SlipFitGarage no he didn't tell you that personally to your face. If he did, he was joshing you. Sandlians car has been done and raced several times.
I own a 1954 Studebaker Commander HT Coupe! My Studebaker is 100% all original stock... it is a survival car. Scott Palmer's Studezilla isn't a Studebaker any longer. It has been so modified, altered, and changed that it barely resembles the Studebaker Automobile from which it gets its moniker!
Kind of hard to classify it as a Pro Mod when you are running it on Nitromethane. It is now more or less an old school funny car. PM’ s are either injected nitrous or supercharged on methanol.
Funny cars are center driven. Scott sits to the left of the transmission in this car. Not even close to ANY funny car, new or old. It doesn't matter now though, the car was totally destroyed last weekend. Scott survived and should make a full recovery. (broken wrist)
Got to love the nitro idle sound inside the car.

I like the funny car escape door on the roof of the car.
Sounded like it was laboring pretty hard after about 100 feet.
put a cylinder out. u could see it on the far side
JEZUS, he had to cut some trees with the way he was sawing at the steering wheel.
0:28 That Sound Mod Original!
I noticed the " Chrysler FirePower " reference on the hood - fender . Was hoping it was " rear distributer " powered Donovan or iron.
Love the onboard shots....nice office you have there Scott ✌😎.
That car is so badass 💪💪
that thing sounds pissed
That thing wasn’t Happy, I was waiting for it to blow the Body Off, Definitely Bad Ass though…….
It’s a ProMod not a funny car or not gonna blow the body off
was barley getting traction and looks like a cylinder or 2 was out
16 car field please...
It’s all clutch
I love it
My friend and buddy Scott Palmer is a fearless competitor with iron balls and the heart of a warrior! PERIOD! God bless you my .

clutch stages coming in.
What the Nitro percentage in those cars.
above 80 at least they vary
Max is 90. This was probably 88~89 if I had to guess.

bro i gotta know what kind of engine that is whatever that beast is i love it
NHRA top fuel hemi V8
how many seconds did?
It's easy to say it has 10,000 horsepower show us the dyno sheet and prove it

Funny cars don't have suspensions or doors and and have a longer wheelbase.
Its a door slammer bro. Chassis, suspension, body, setup is completely different. Everything about it IS a pro mod
