Welcome back to another home vlog! 🥰 I’m still loving Readly, so big thank you to them for sponsoring ✨
I got a Readly subscription based on older vlog of yours. I am now an American absolutely obsessed with British gossip magazines. It's a form of self care I do once a week 😆.
Hey Brogan! First off congratulations on your engagement your ring is beautiful!! I'm a jewelers granddaughter and will share what I learned growing up in regards to rings! Always take it off when cleaning, showering and cooking (when it's something you're using your hands). When you take it off never ever put it by a sink! Also always put it in the same spot when you take it off such as a ring dish or holder. (This helps me with the anxiety of where did I put my ring) Take it off when swimming because if it came off for any reason that would be devastating. And always take it off when lifting weights, they can scratch it but also for safety reasons such as if you crushed your finger and it swelled they would possibly have to have your ring cut off. I usually would leave my rings at home in my safe place when I go to the gym but I definitely understand wanting to have them back off right after the gym, so I would just make sure you have a good lock on your locker! Also lastly make sure you have a good ring cleaner at home and take it to a jewelers every once in a while to make sure the claws that hold the diamonds don't have dirt under them. This can loosen them and cause diamonds to fall out (especially if you have any little diamonds). Sorry for the extremely long comment I hope this helps!
Benji talking about his medical trauma is hitting me hard. Send him my love. It's a lonely and scary place to be x
Thank you Grace ❤️
Bonnie is just the most perfect dog, I’m so jealous every time I see her cuddling and when she gets all excited. I’m glad she found her true home with you and Benji
Make benji watch our ‘secret’ lots of positive energy and love. Most deserving couple of happiness. Love u guys ❤️
I sympathise with Benji SO much! I’m also 27, I caught covid last year and STILL 9 months later I’m very poorly. I can’t walk for very long, I can’t do any chores or any exercise or even make my meals as my heart goes crazy and I get tired very very easily. I haven’t worked since last June because of it. I’ve been diagnosed with Long Covid and just have to rest until it gets better. Pre-covid I was super fit and had no existing health conditions. So I can 100% relate to Benji so much. You never think it will be you, until it happens to you. 😞 Thinking of you both during these uncertain times. 🤍🤍🤍
I wear mine all the time. Only time I take it off is when I go on holiday. But I sleep, shower, work. Everything with mine and it’s been fine :)
Only half way through the vlog Brogan, i just wanted to cry for Benji, such a lovely lad going through this is just not fair, it must be hard for both of you like you said just navigating round something you’ve never had to deal with, anyway thinking so much about you both, the engagement ring situation, I personally wore mine all the time xx Thankyou Brogan xx
Benji talking about his health is hitting me hard, send him my love💗 and loved this vlog as always x I would love Disneyland Paris videos💗
Usually a quiet watcher, don’t comment a lot; but I have to say I love all your videos! And would looooooove to see a planning video for Disneyland Paris; I’ve been once before but trying to convince my boyfriend to come with me this time 🥰🥰
Happy Birthday Brogan! Today is the 24th so I wanted to send happy wishes.
Awesome vlog, especially the bridal magazines as it took me back 46 years and my first thick bridal magazine. The crystal champagne glasses were the most beautiful glasses I have ever seen!!
I can see the love between you and Benji and it brings happy tears.
I love all your vlogs Brogan! God Bless, Debra ✨
My heart goes out to you and Benji. Here you are at such an exciting time in your relationship but you have Benji's tumor to deal with. I had something similar happen with my husband and I can honestly say it only made us stronger together. Now as for your ring - I wear mine all the time and rarely take it off. I know so many people that lost theirs - so I am paranoid, lol. And you enjoy every single moment of your wedding planning. Don't worry about what other people think or may want...this is all about you and Benji and your fairy tale. xxx
Hey girl! - I know I'm late to the game, so maybe other people have suggested this - I like to use a silicone band for working out/gardening. I also prefer to not sleep in it. I just pop it into my jewelry box before bed! So fun that you're also engaged and planning!
That wedding venue was beautiful! 😍😍
I can’t comment on whether to take your ring off for the gym, I don’t even run for the ice-cream van but I would recommend taking your ring off for cleaning. Chemicals may affect your ring over time.
Also, another tip that I was tempted to leave before but you mentioned that you were being bombarded… My tip would be that when wedding planning be OVERLY organised. You literally can’t be organised enough, even to the point that I was chasing suppliers for final invoices. That way when it comes to the big day you can completely relax without anything hanging over your head ☺️ The same goes for the prep of the small things. Do them in advance. I helped my best friend wrap her favours the night before the wedding and she was so stressed, it was awful. My husband and I had everything done in advance so that the week before we had nothing to do but be excited!
Also, favours, think if you really want to spend your money on them. There’s a good chance they will either get left behind, go in the bin or get shoved in the back of a drawer. My husband and I spent the money we would have used to plant several trees within The National Forest where we live and we dedicated them to our wedding guests.
Hopefully this all makes sense?! I could ramble on and on… CONGRATULATIONS! Enjoy the whole process because it really is the most special time and if something is stressing you out, sack it off! It’s just not worth the headache xxx
So excited watching you do the wedding planning together. As far as the wedding dress goes, Take your time and try on EVERYTHING!!!!!! this will never come around again and it is your time! and take uys with you at least on one visit to try on dresses!
I take my rings off for swimming and the gym but leave it on the rest of the time. I have a clip keyring on my keys that I pop them on and then I can put them straight back on afterwards
Love your realness about confidence we just have to fake it till we feel it real 👏💖
Ohhh saw biscuits by Sarah in the vlog! She’s amazing highly recommend
There shouldn’t be any need to ever take your ring off. It will naturally get a bit scratched but if it’s made of good material it will be totally fine. You’re right. More risky to keep taking it off
I take my rings off when I shower and wash my hands because I don't want to tarnish and otherwise soap gets stuck behind it when I wash and it gets sore!
I don’t wear mine for exercise or at night as can get scratchy and also off for water. We were so close to going to that wedding fair would have loved to say hello but felt too naff on Saturday, did look fun though
Hey Brogan, great vlog as always and congratulations again on your engagement. With regards to your ring I recently saw on Tiktok how this surgeon uses a ring keeper necklace for when she’s in the operating theatre, might be an idea x
oh my gosh I spent so much of the second lockdown doing little walks at stour valley! Such a lovely and peaceful walk
Re. wedding and engagement rings - I keep mine on all the time but take it off for showering/swimming, or doing the dishes 😅anything that includes water and/or chemicals. I’m still not over your ring it’s gorgeous 😍 wedding fairs are so much fun. After I’d finished planning mine I genuinely considered becoming a wedding planner I had so much fun!
My one regret was doing everything ‘traditionally’. I got married quite young (25) and I’m now almost 30 and if I were to do it again (let’s hope not! But you know what I mean) I’d definitely do some things differently to suit us rather than what’s the norm.
Much love xx
I leave my rings on at all times, never taken them off once! Xx
I dont think I ever took my rings off. Hearing Benji talk about how he's feeling makes you think, that he's really worried, hope he gets check out soon to put his mine and yours at rest. It's not nice knowing you have a medical condition, that going to effect your whole life. The things they can do these days are amazing and Southampton General is one of the best hospitals around, even if you went private you might get and NHS surgeon that works at the General. Hes not to over do it until he knows more and what he can do. Can't wait to see your Cornwall gateway xx
Ooh that place looked lovely where you took Bonnie on her walk...ps she's SO gorgeous!! There's a place near me called Stourbridge, its a lovely little town place, by the river Severn, perfect for dog walking!! Send my love to Benj, I do somewhat knww how yous are feeling, I didn't have 'open-heart' surgery but I've got a defibrillator fitted to my heart and apparently I was supposed to have stayed awake throughout the whole thing, but I had a panic-attack, and they had to put me under general anaesthetic to finish the rest off...I'm told the defib will go off if my heart goes too slow, it skips a generation too, so like neither of my parents have anything wrong w/ their hearts, but their parents did...SO bloody annoying!!! Sending all my love and hope for the future for his health!! I've also got my epilepsy on top of that too, and I wonder why I'm single ayy?? Congratulations on your upcoming nuptials, I'm beyond excited for yous, I already can't wait for the wedding album!!
It takes awhile to get use to ring wearing but after a few months off taking it on off you might find you never take it off 😊
Great flog - has the wedding fayre given you an idea of whether you want a service in church or you want a one stop shop so to speak. I always wear my rings 24/7 but always took my engagement ring when washing my hands. Good on Benji for remaining so positive when his head must be in such turmoil - it’s not the knowing.
Congrats Guys! I take my ring off every night before bed and don’t wear it for cooking, cleaning and working out. I also don’t travel with it….have a back up ring! I’d hate to lose it. You will figure out your process. 🥰
Loved this home vlog. Nice to see Benji taking it easy and making the most of being around. Re your engagement ring… I used to take it off before bed, showers, gym, skin care, cleaning etc Even now after 15 years I still take my rings off before bed. X
Thank you Claire! That’s good to know 😀 x
@@brogantatexo you are most welcome x
Wear the ring all the time you wouldn’t want to lose it, see what happens when you lift the weights, benji it’s ok to have your own feelings and worries no matter what else is going on in the world!
Love the vlog 💕 and also love seeing the wedding planning 😍
Hii! Congratulations! I got engaged 22nd Feb this year and as a non ring wearer ive found that wearing it all the time made me get used to it being there a lot quicker lol. I keep mine on at the gym atm but im not yet at weights, just cardio. I will probably take it off when i get to weights. I did take it off to sleep at the start but my work mom told me off and said they are designed to be worn all the time 😂
So i take mine off now just for showers and if im doing a lot of prep for cooking.
Also, talk weddings as much as you want, it's honestly my biggest interest at the moment 😂😂 I still have all our cards balloons and flowers up, gutted to have to take them down lol x
I loved going to wedding fayres - i knew the venue i wanted and most of the vendors but its always nice to get ideas from other places! Post covid i only wear my rings when i leave the house these days to avoid ruining them i keep them off in the house. I also don't wear it at gym due to the rings cutting me and my engagement ring the diamond fell out but luckily i seen it happen so we were able to get it fixed but it does mean im much more cautious wearing them.
When it comes to rings, I take both engagement and wedding rings off before bed and don't put them on again until after I've had a shower. Also don't wear them for anything where they could get knocked around like the gym (I just leave them at home). Hope you guys had a great time in Cornwall and wishing Benji all the best during this worrying time. Oh and hitched is a great website to look at for wedding venues - they list out all the wedding fayres that are going on in the area too which is helpful. We just went to loads to get the freebies 🤣 would also recommend the national wedding shows when you're a bit more settled on plans as they help expose you to lots of vendors: we went to the London one to find a photographer as all the local wedding fayres just had the same 2 or 3 each time.
I always take my engagement ring off for showers, bed, washing the dishes etc! I leave my wedding ring on but that’s it xxxxx
Happy Birthday Brogan🥳
Stay positive benj! 💪
I hardly wear my rings when at home. I’m so worried about water damage, losing in washing machine, Hoover sucking it up 😂🙈xx
you could get one of those ring holder necklaces if you're happy wearing a necklace in the gym! you thread it on and it sits nicely and is secure! x
Love all the home vlogs. I would love any Disneyland Paris videos. Planning etc. I go to DisneyWorld 8 weeks today so counting down but really want to try get to Disneyland Paris while the 30th anniversary is on. Also love all the wedding stuff.
When you sung some Encanto in the bathroom... My 5 year old came in from the other room to ask if it was me singing.... She said you have an amazing voice and sounded like the character 🥰
We've been married 13 years on Monday and I've never taken my rings off (apart from when they didn't fit when I was pregnant 😂) love the home vlogs xxx
I take my ring off whenever I shower, doing DIY, working out, washing up etc. I have a dish purely for my ring and so I know when it's not on my finger, it's in the dish 😄
Hi I saw a tick tock of this lady who is a surgeon and she has this really cool necklace (she just got hers amazon) and the ring just slides on and off without her having to take the actual necklace off. Can not explain it but have a google! Congratulations! x
I would really love to see a planning/budget/tips video for DLP. Thank you! Xx
Congratulations on your engagement 😍😍 we got married at The Italian Villa, literally 4 years ago today, so it was lovely having this pop up! Loved wedding planning, I have some great recommendations for Bournemouth suppliers if you were going to stay localish!!
To begin with I was the same as you, I actually used to take it off to go to sleep until I started randomly waking up in the night in a panic when I could subconsciously not feel anything on my hand 😳🤣 so since then I've made a conscious effort to never take it off and it feels totally normal now. So much so when I got my wedding ring it just felt perfect and normal straight away and I hate taking them off for any reason! I think you'll just get used to and like the feeling of always wearing it 💍xx
I take my ring off for the shower, swimming, basically anything that involves water… I’m scared of it slipping off and I wouldn’t have a clue x
Lovely vlog. Your content always make me smile. Been struggling a lot today with missing my dad, but this vlog has made me smile. Thank you ❤️
I take my ring off all the time. I honestly only wear the ring with the stone on the weekend because I work with kids. When I workout I wear a silicon ring!
Love these home vlogs, im not at the point of getting married however i love rock n roll bride magazine haha
I got engaged in September. I take my engagement ring off when I sleep and when I shower etc. A lot of times I forget to put it back on so I don’t wear it much in the house but I always remember to put it back on when I leave the house and go to work etc
Lovely!! Yes watch out on tripods etc, I remember being sad when I first damaged my ring carrying a lighting pole. (It buffed up okay!) but yeah not while doing weights I’d recko! I take mine off for that. Big fan of readly, gonna use it this weekend on a little jaunt to Broadstairs!! Excited to download some new mags and exciting times for engaged bubble!! Xx
Hi brogan congrats on your engagement hun love your home vlogsx
Congrats on your engagement! In regards to your ring, they have these cool ring holder necklaces that I’ve seen a lot of people in healthcare use. Just to keep it close but safe!
Ideally, I would never take off my rings, but I’ve been married for 10 years and they just don’t fit anymore. I also can’t be bothered to go get them resized. 😂 I can wear them in the cooler months when my fingers are less swollen, and I try to wear them for special occasions at least.
We are going to Paris in July. Never been before and like you, going to start to learn a few bits of French 👍
Hey Sweetie 🤗 firstly Happy Birthday for today 🥳🎂💕 I hope you’re enjoying whatever you’re getting up to today and that you are being spoilt. I’m looking forward to all of your DLP planning ☺️ Not sure if you’re in Cornwall or been already but I hope you had/are having the best time 🥰 xxx
I wear my engagement, wedding and anniversary rings for everything EXCEPT showers, washing dishes & putting on lotion. My 3 rings are soldiered together, so it's easy to keep track of them. :)
I LOVE your engagement ring! Mine is a past, present, future ring too, except my middle stone is a sapphire. It's not what I thought I wanted, but it's SO me! My husband picked it out and he did such a good job. I actually tear up thinking about how well he knows me. I wouldn't trade my rings for anything. If I was being robbed and the robber wanted my rings I'd absolutely cry. I'd tell them I'd take them to the ATM to take ALL my money out, give them the keys to my car and any other piece of jewelry I own.
My rings stay on 24/7 for the past 17 years 😂 I have an indent in my finger, no denying I’m married 💁🏼♀️😂
Also, a note about the gym and weightlifting. Try get some gloves, the ones I have have the 1/2 fingers so it protects my rings (and stops me from getting calluses 😂).
Congratulations on your engagement. I personally do no take my engagement or wedding ring off at all. They are apart of me and are a special to me so I just don’t ever take them off other than when I pregnant 😂 my hands got really swollen so they didn’t fit xx
I love yr vlogs xx 🐝🐝
Love love love your vlogs . Always look forward to them . Big congratulations to you & benji xx your vlogs are so true to life , we all have ups & downs. Keep doing what your doing brogan , we love you loads ❤️xx
Thank you Natalie!! Xx
Lovely vlog 💗
Habit stacking is a really useful tool for people with ADHD to implement if anyone struggles with it 🥰
Always love watching your vlogs Brogan, massive congratulations to you and Benji again on your engagement❤️ xx
I never take my engagement and wedding rings off even doing weights at the gym and no issues. If i took it off I’d forget to put it back on 😂
I personally only take mine off when I clean it, once a month. I keep it on all the time 😂 xxx
I have been married since 2007; I took mine off a soon as I got home for work cause I got dermatitis form it but I lost my engagement ring last year, I have a feeling I sucked it up in the vacuum a it’s at out local tip 😖😭
I was born with a disability but never really had any major issues caused by it until the last 12 months. Hearing Benji speak about his recent experience really resonated with me because no matter what level of health you start with, if something happens to threaten that it’s incredibly scary and consuming. Sending Benji lots of well wishes and positivity
P.s. it’s lovely to see you both so excited about your engagement. Love to you both (and Bonnie!)
Please do a DLP video 🥰 x
I saw a tiktok and a surgeon hated not having her ring on her person and she used a necklace ring holder it held multiple rings on and said it was off Amazon and I thought it was very cool
Never took my ring off in 25 years xx
I take my ring off at night and when I shower. If I'm traveling far, I like to wear a simple band instead and leave my ring home. But, I do think a ring should be worn and enjoyed. You want to enjoy the beautiful thing in your daily life after all.
Take it easy benj. you got this. Lots of rest xx
It must be hard to navigate the unknown while waiting for details. Brogan seems so amazingly understanding & supportive. Tell Benji to allow himself to feel all of the different emotions he must be feeling. Wishing you all the best! ❤️
Anyone else like brogans videos while the first ad still plays as you already know you’ll love it? 😳😍😝💕
Hi Brogan, I’ve been married for 17 years and the only time I take my ring(s) off is when I’m gardening. The more you take it off the greater chances of losing or theft. You can always take it to a Jewlers to be checked (claws and setting) and cleaned (a must) every 6 months or so. Just a great tip someone gave me years ago….. when you get your wedding band after your special day, take it to your Jewlers and get them to put a small drop of solder on your rings to “stick” them together. (You can’t see it) If you do this, your rings will never rub together and wear down. You don’t realize how much rubbing of your rings can damage them over time. It’s something a lot of people do.They’ll always look perfectly lined up as well. You have a beautiful ring, wear and enjoy! ❤️
Definitely needed this today I can’t wait for all of the wedding planning 🥰
Habit stacking is a brilliant idea!!! 👍👍👍 I'll have to try that!!! I LOVED all the food we got to taste when I went to wedding fairs a few years ago with my daughters! YUM!!! 😍😍😍 I usually sleep with my wedding ring on, but like you, I take it off for showers/baths and also when going to the beach. The engagement/wedding box is so cute!!! It's very YOU!!! I love your travel videos, but it's also nice to see you both (and Bonnie!) at home! Continued love and health to all three of you from across the pond!!! 💜💜💜
Cannot wait to watch all your planning :)
I take my ring off before I leave home for places like the gym, or even house work sometimes - I wear silicone rings instead of my wedding/engagement rings & university ring then. I take all my rings off at night & shower - but put it on when I’m getting ready for the day :) I feel naked without them!! But keep them in a safe spot (like your trinket dish) every time so you know where they are!
Re engagement ring.....I never took mine off. xxx
I take my rings off whenever I’m doing anything that I think may mean there’s gunk under my stones like shampoo or shower gel when showering, washing up liquid or muck when I’m gardening. xx
I absolutely love Readly too, I’ve been obsessed with house magazines and goodie ones for entertaining!! I’m always recommending it to my friends too!
Loved hanging out with you, I’ve now got Encanto stuck in my head!! Haha. Must be so nice having Benji around so much, this weather has been absolutely glorious!! Xx
Oh ps re the ring question. I never ever take mine off. I used to worry about damaging it but the worry of losing it was worse! I go to a jewellers and get it cleaned once a year xx
Would you put your ring onto a necklace while you are doing the weights at the gym? That way it's out the way, but also still safe with you, rather then being in the locker? Xxxx
Congratulations on your engagement! I got engaged the Christmas before last, it really is such a special time 🥰 I had the same question regarding my engagement ring! My friends keep theirs on all the time but I take mine off to shower and sleep. I’ve always been that way with Jewellery and find it works best for me. Just make sure you put it in the same place (e.g your trinket dish), I learnt that lesson after panicking I’d lost it once! ☺️ xx
Oh bless you! Yes! Everyone seems to do different 🤔❤️
Hi brogan we are going back to Disneyland Paris in September this year xx
Had to pause the vlog just to ask where is the beautiful dressing gown from??? I love it xxxx
It was in my FabFitFun box for American so sadly don’t have a link! X
😞😞
Ring only comes off when I make pastry!!! I’m too scared of knocking it down the plughole or losing it when I take it off! Wear gloves for weightlifting that cover it. Wedding ring never comes off but it’s a totally plain band so no groves etc for stuff to get stuck in!
Gets checked by the original jeweller that made it for me once per year and no problems there!
Can you.not just get a new monitor and connect via a hub using your laptop? I do that with my home and work laptops.
I've been married for 9 years, got engaged 11 years ago. I only take my engagement and wedding rings off when I'm doing the washing up, cleaning, any messy skincare (putting on face masks etc.), having a shower/bath or go swimming. I don't take them off to sleep - I've had anxiety dreams in the past when I've forgotten to put them back on, which is horrible! You do whatever is right for you though x
My ring stays on 24\7
Hi Brogan & Benji,
Benji so sorry about your illness...taking it easy is a great idea...I have crohns & can barely leave the house because of complications!!!
What to do with the beautiful ring...definitely take it off during house work because of chemicals...& gym activities!!! Flash it when you go out!!! Do what's comfortable for you!!!
Bonnie is so beautiful I love her...I want a dog just like her!!! One last thing...thanks for this wonderful blog!!!
Looking forward to the future vblogs esp Disney in Paris!!!
Hey!
I wear my rings always. Never take them off. But I would advise you to take yours off for particular things. I have worn mine for too long now to start changing it up. What’s that saying, you can’t teach and old dog new tricks hahah
Have so much empathy for Benji and you for what you’re both going through, it’s a lot to deal with and when it’s all a bit unknown it’s just hard.
We’ve been married for 13 years now, was our anniversary yesterday, I would still love a little nosey through a wedding mag! I would also love to do it all again!
I wear my engagement ring all the time in the shower in bed never take it off just in case it ends up going missing send benji my love bless him he’s doing amazing to get through what he’s going through it’s horrible bless him he’s doing brill xx
I find the small cleaning brushes you can get for metal drinking straws are great for cleaning water bottle straws properly ( my top tip ) xx
Are you engaged 😂😂😂😂 honestly it’s lovely your so happy and excited!! Love it 😊 I have a platinum and diamond wedding and engagement ring and I wear them all the time, never take them off for anything even on holiday. They are part of me xxxxx lovely vlog 😘😘😘
Love your home vlogs so much :) That wedding show looked great. It's so interesting to see which suppliers are available and what sort of things are available for weddings. I've seen some weddings online where people had a mini golf course set up at their venue for some entertainment. I would love that myself 😂 Made me think of you and Benji straight away
