Birria style pulled Beef Tacos
1 pound of flank or chuck beef
1 teaspoon of chili powder
1 teaspoon of garlic granules
1 teaspoon of onion powder
1 teaspoon of oregano
1 tablespoon of cumin
1 tablespoon of pepper
1 tablespoon salt
1 tablespoon of fresh sofrito
2 green peppers
1 onion
1 dried Guajillo Chile (take the seeds out)
5 cloves of garlic
1 tablespoon tomato puree
1 cup of beef broth or veggie Broth
1bunches of fresh cilantro
2 bay leaves
1 pack of tortillas
1 part skim mozzarella cheese
2 limes
Directions
Ruff chop up your green peppers onion
Sear your beef in a pan for 1-2 mins on each side after you’ve seared it add your in a slow/crock pot. Add onions, peppers, garlic bay leaf, sofrito spices and tomato puree then add the broth.
Cook 8 hours on a slow cook or 70 mins high pressure cook.
Blending the sauce
Take the beef out and shred with a fork all your other ingredient’s place in a blender then through a strainer add the blended ingredients back in the pot along with the shredded beef.
Birria style
Take your tortillas and dip them in the sauce in a pan with shredded beef and a sprinkle of mozzarella folded over the disk with beef and cheese.
Garnish with fresh lime juice avocado and cilantro
