Pairing off this beautiful choral work with a stunning group of voices like this is a treat to musical ears (and one can see the director himself riding the clouds above). And the beautiful soloist sounds like she has a recording future ahead of her: WOW, she is 'awesome.' I love Eric Whitacre's works so much for their intelligent content, which is no major challenge for a superb choir such as this one. Together, the voices are rich in color and texture (void of excessive vibrato like in other groups) and produce both a balance and blend that is as flawless as it gets (perfect for this type of music). I'm quite certain Eric is tickled to death working with such fine talent and is able to showcase this work (and others) with total certainty and success. BRAVO, Bel Canto, for a performance that is very well done!
