@@paultaylor9498agree. Pool must take the chances within 2-3 years before exeptional key players like Van Dijk / Salah / Robertson gets too old. It makes no sense to rebuild. The 2015-2019 phase was the rebuild era.

Correct but not everyone will have the same ceiling level. Szobo has a very high ceiling though.

Revisit this again. Great analysis. I think Szobo is the signing of the summer. Like you said, he is becoming a paradigm-shift signing.
I think this is one the few analysis that shows he’s more potential than the finished product. One thing to factor in is he’ll be working with Klopp, who is fantastic at moulding players. I think Klopp will take his time, get him upto speed and find a system/role for Dom to thrive in. Undoubtedly a very exciting player, the most exciting mid we’ve had since coutinho left.

I really like how nuanced you were on your analysis on Szoboszlai. Given his tactical versatility, I do see him on the RCM/RAM as an upgrade on Henderson. I think given he’s Hungary best player, he’s given a lot of freedom which I don’t see that at Liverpool. However, his age, experience, flexibility and potential, I really like this signing. Again, your analysis was really nuanced and shows he still has a lot to learn which I appreciate

I feel like giving ratings to already established players especially those whose stats are used could help viewers to have a better idea of what the ratings mean for these analyses and could make for a popular video. For me, the terms inter-generational, generational, and world class as people typically use them feel somewhat arbitrary. I love the analysis btw!
I agree. Under the video about Lavia I asked what the terms "intergenerational" and "generational" meant. I got the following response:
"Intergenerational is a player who was considered one of the best of their generation but also gets compared against the best of other generations and holds his own in those discussions. So for example a Thierry Henry. Roughly top 15-20 all time in their position but not top 5. Generational, stands out in his own era but would struggle in comparisons to other generation's top players in those positions. I'd put a David Silva in this category as he would struggle to compare to the best CAMs of all time but was one of the best of his own generation."
So Szoboszlai could become as good as David Silva but probably not as good as Thierry Henry (sounds good to me as a Liverpool supporter - and maybe there is more in him :) )
By the way, from the quoted comment I deduce that the GOAT category means being among the top five in a position in history.

I think the areas in which he can improve will undoubtedly be levelled up in the premier league. he seems like a dedicated talent and the competition he will face as a liverpool player could see him become one of the premier midfielders in world football like a KDB today. Not a classic play maker like Deco was. He blends into the attack, provides great assists and key passes, but cannot organize the whole team's play. Maybe in a few years, but maybe never.

This is the first video I watch in this channel, and I can't help but list some of the things of your style that really drawn my attention to this video:
First, your steady, moderate tone while speaking: It was the first thing that caught my ears, and it really sets you apart from a large majority of RUclipsrs talking about Football, who seem to be rushing and gushing and yelling the whole time, as if they're about to sell you something.
Second, I like how objective your analysis is, you did not try to sugar coat anything and pointed out the player's weaknesses whenever possible.
Lastly, I really admired your audacity when you said that Szoboszlai has a better control over the knuckle ball technique than prime CR7. I'm not agreeing nor disagreeing with you here. All I'm saying is, that it takes some balls to favour any player over CR7 (or Messi) in any aspect of their game, however insignificant, especially given the fact that your channel is currently rather small, and you still want to gain audience.
Obviously, my only critique of this video is the video resolution, which I assume you'll be working on in the future. Overall, I enjoyed this video, bro! Keep up the good work :)

Thank you for the video, great info. As a suggestion, since many (maybe even most) viewers are from the signing teams fanbase, you could use their current or old players as comparisons. In this case I would find it extremely interesting to hear how he compares to Henderson, Keita, Wiljadum etc.

Trent is truly special as you say - but he needs to be closer to Salah to make best use of his creative abilities. KdB would have made a very good right back or inverted right back, but it would waste his final 3rd passing where he truly makes the difference at the highest level. This transfer locks Trent into right back.

Love this analysis. I've only seen him play a couple of times for Leipzig and three or four times for Hungary. He's always looked like a talented player, but I think us Liverpool fans need to remember that he's still only 22 and has aspects of his game which will need to be worked on to play the way Klopp asks his midfielders to play. But the core is there. He's hungry (Hungary?) to win the ball back, he's a natural high presser, he's technically excellent, physically strong, and has an engine like a toyota hilux. I'm not expecting him to compete for player of the year, but he's definitely gonna improve our midfield. With him and Trent our set pieces should be feared next season.

A very well balanced analysis. I think it was a smart signing and someone that carries all the attributes especially the intensity of how a Klopp team should play (intensity that was missing for the previous season). I think he won't have trouble moving straight into the starting 11. The fact that he will have a full pre-season ahead of him makes that even more exciting. Hope he realises his potential and exceeds expectations!

Love your channel man, offers a very in depth observation of a player's overall ability from a technical perspective.
However, there is one small thing that bugs me and it become readily apparent during this video. And it is, admittedly, something that would be hard to quantify or regard as we do not have access to said information. However, I will try to explain. The videos, while of a very high quality, do not take instruction into account when evaluating a player.
I'll try to explain, for Hungary, Szoboszlai seems to be granted a greater degree of freedom, due to his ability in comparison to his teammates. However, for RB Leipzig his role is a lot more rigid. I feel like the midfield for RB Leipzig are utilized predominantly as retainers and high functioning transitional operators rather than delivering overall output.
So, therefore, Szoboszlai does not have the opportunity to produce more moments of individual quality, because it goes against what he is being programmed to do. I noticed this on a number of other videos you have done, where that is never taken into account. Obviously manager's have different principles of play, some prefer freedom, others structure and rigidity throughout the play, these forms offer a greater degree of what a play is capable of. Either inhibits or furthers their profile and overall ability.
A really small thing because I am a huge fan of your work, and have used it to identify and quantify my own players development and growth. Particularly, breaking down the players technical points into more manageable and relevant subjects. Looking forward to seeing the rest of your videos, I look forward to seeing the consistent quality you provide.
