The pivots need to know the capability of the players around them to be able to create try scoring opportunities for them. Only gifted players can score out of nowhere, but others need to be strategically placed to score. Pivots are the key.

In my observation over the states that maroons lost over to blues...I saw,,,a captain and a experienced world player used to make alot of mistakes in the field...like he missed many tackles,not have enough strength, failed to feed the ball through the gap creation,failed to back up the foward when they break the lines,never conceous of controlling the ball in try lines for opponents and some others.. Yes,,kicks right but not at the right time with the right kick but sometimes he kick right at the wrong time and so on.. We will see the difference at this coming game two.... The first thing I should say is I am a Maroons supporter, just incase you are not sure. Your opening comment is QLD has made bold changes. I have been looking forward to this since the game 1 thrashing. Where are the bold changes???? The starting 13 with the exception of Cherry Evens and Capewell are exactly the same. I went to Melbourne for game 2 last year and Capewell had a shocker. I can't believe Holmes is back on the wing he was another big disappointment in game 1. I watched him in the game against the Dolphins, If Billy is looking for recent form he must have had the blinkers on in that game. I like Coats with the height he gets from kicks and he knows where the try line is, however the amount of trys he lets in by coming off his wing to tackle the centre when the centre is well covered is a worry. I noticed Howorth just crept in at number 20 so very little chance of seeing him, I think he is 10 times the player Holmes is, I realise he is a centre but so is Holmes. I hope I'm wrong, I would love to see QLD win but I can't see anything but more of the same from this team.
