@hectormiranda1088 the original sequel to star wars (before being sold to Disney) was darth maul coming back and making darth talon his apprentices
However that didn't come true until now
In the comics with Darth krate showing up is when talon was introduced and was clearly made into fan service, just LOOK at her old design innthe comics
So clearly for the obvious reasons maul shadow lord is their way of bringing something close to the original planed sequel.

I wasn't surprised that Maul's apprentice was a female Twi'lek, because the first Padawan he killed was also a female Twi'lek. At the end of the fight, he showed her his respect by saying, "You are a Jedi."
