I would imagine it would take a long long time to dain a battery, so safe to leave on all the time, I guess. I have the new moto II and was surprised to see route numbers showing up....
It’s charged up pretty quickly, I don’t imagine it would drain the battery. I plug the bike into the battery maintainer at home and bring the device in. I haven’t been on an overnight trip away from home yet, but I will let you know.
I took a different approach and wired my Moto2 to the AUX connector inside the headlight shell. That circuit is driven by a relay and is fuse protected. So now anytime the key is on the charger draws current, with key off no current draw. 2022 Royal Enfield Continental GT 650
