Yea thrust surge is one of the easiest moves to parry and against a good player, they can get 3 free hits once they land a parry. The only reason to use it in duels is if they jump or they don’t have any stamina

Blaster defense has a hidden effect that isn’t in the description. It gives a 60% damage reduction so it can be pretty helpful in trades and keeping up momentum
