@M7UDM just checked QRZ your call not listed yet in their database. There’s a task for the weekend with your dad. Great for new blood to join the Ham ranks. I am sure it won’t be long and you will have passed the intermediate and by the time you reach a teenager have the full licence. Best regards to you and enjoy your radio 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Wow! Many thanks for all your videos. I always like watching new videos and similarate you're always using smoothing your kit out there. It's I know it's changing all the time technology. And wow it's it's wonderful what what they're doing nowadays with modern kit. Keep up the good work. Best 73s G0hda Steven
Had hoped to see how the whole thing was set up. Do you have plans to make a further demo video please? The POTA was very interesting and the idea of a gift to the young ham was excellent PR.
Good activation. Bit concerned about the strain relief for the BNC connection to the 705, what you’ve used looks a bit too “solid” for the 705’s BNC, can I suggest a short length of say RG174 between the 705 and the M&P cable.
Hi Tony! Nice battery that Exo-Worthy. A bit big for Sota, probably a good choice for Pota if you want to play radio for the entire weekend! But then again there is nothing wrong with being over-prepared. I have a 6Ah battery which I have used for two 3-hour 145-Alive events with my Retevis R95 at 15 Watts, and that battery still has more than 30% charge. The Icom 705 would be significantly more power efficient than my Retevis, so I would be surprised if you get less than 48 hours continuous use from that battery. Now about a capacity test? 73, Jan M7HNK
Hello, good afternoon Also have MC-599 ... very nice antenna indeed At 14 Mkz antenna was a little short ... next time show swr values at 7 Mkz would be nice 😉 Like your support to the young hamradio, very nice 👌 Many thanks for the review / 73 Pota ON - CS7BDO

Hi! The 705 could give you the QTH locator info, just switch on the gps, and press QUICK button, and choose GPS position. 73's Joe
Great work. Look forward to seeing more POTA or field activations. G0BGD
Hey Tony how come you didn't activate on 20m after Richard setting it all up 😂😂
Where can I buy that beautiful Kenwood jacket? Thanks for the video lads
Thanks for the nice video and interesting kit. And well done Dan! 😀
P.S. I would also probably throw-in, to the go-bag, a current balun for the feed-point of the dipole 🙂
P.P.S Scrub that! I see that the centre-piece is also a balun 🙂
He has enough battery to run that 705 for a month. lol. Great Video!
