@@buddyshroom happy to share, I couldn’t have learnt what I know without RUclips so I hope I can do my best to give back the same kinda knowledge I found.
@@jeannegreen1639 I do too, it’s a reflection from the filter I have on the camera. I’m not sure what to do about it or if I can but it’s really interesting being able to see glass glowing outside of the flame.
@@zacstronautglass yes I noticed that too, was thinking it could be neat to have an actual mirror or more to see the piece from different angle at the same time!
@ I actually have a small mirror on the wall that I use to see things that I’m blowing into from a different angle. It helps blow things out evenly without having a blow host attached to the handle.
Nice! Enjoyed this one. Coming from an artist who's only done a handful of implosions, I thought you nailed when to speed up and when to slow down the video. I think someone brand new to flameworking would benefit from a full length real time tutorial though. Loving this channel!
@@idela32 Thanks for the feedback. I will make some full length ones like that. I don’t feel like the clips I have of the first couple uploads are good enough for an uncut upload but I’ll definitely try to do a few. I might even revisit the first few techniques I cover once I hammer out some of the details of filming these tutorials as well as I’d like.
I’m sure a lynx would be a good starter torch but I’ve never personally used one and I know if GTT torches are ran with too small of a flame the face of the torch can overheat. This can ruin the torch. I’ve only ever used Bethlehem torches so I don’t have the best advice about running a gtt.
Been refreshing on the homepage-etsy-ig for this one jk, stay social! The BIGGEST part i find makes a good video is seeing where the heat hits the glass, i will let you know if i have more questions after travel down this road a little while. I dont know why this seams entirely different than the fume implosions ive been practicing, but its the same when melting in i suppose
I decided to finish the upload and get this up for you. I knew at least you were waiting so I went ahead got it out today instead of tomorrow like I planned. Thanks for the motivation!
@@robertosborn2458 it’s under Abe’s vault when you select what category of glass. Or plug #110 Karmaline into their search bar. I know it often sells put quickly. I just had a look myself and it’s sold out. I jumped on one of their last drops to make sure I didn’t run out. I use it a fair bit in my work.
@ it can definitely be a bit of a challenge getting some of the most popular colours. Follow the colour companies on social media and hopefully you can scoop some when they drop.
Yes, they don't sell rod. The furnace they use for pulling rod would strike the gold out in such a way that the colour would lose most or all of its transparency from what I understand.
Absolutely love the video! New to glass blowing and gonna try to do this with the colors I have! Keep up the great work!
Awesome! Thank you! Good luck it’s a fun technique to learn.
Awesome video! As a newer glassblower and do a lot on my own style! Very impressed and learning!

Where did you get the Karmaline ? Looked all thru Northstar’s website and can’t find it. Is it an out of production color?
