Gawachi Pagg also known as 'The Lost Turban' is a short story written by one of the most renowned writers, Sardar Jaswant Singh Kanwal. This story is all about the turmoil of 1984 which was visualized by the land of Five rivers. It talks about the quest to find the LOST HONOUR of a young sikh boy during the Blue Star Operation.
He has published several books which usually have a rustic and raw feel of Punjab, depicting the rural life of Punjab vividly. All of his writings generally question firmly held social rituals and beliefs of the prevailing strata.
Although, he had left leanings and many of his famous novels talk about the cause of social issues like social and gender equality, but later he became a firm believer of the Khalistan movement as well.

ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਨੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਦੁੱਖ ਹੰਡਾਇਆ ... ਇਹ ਕਹਾਣੀ ਦਾ ਚਿਤਰਾਕਣ ਮੈਂ ਯੂ ਟੂਬ ਤੇ ਦੇਖਿਆ ਸੀ । ਬਹੁਤ ਰੋਈ ਸੀ ਮੈਂ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਦੀ humiliation ਦੇਖ ਕੇ । ਇਹ ਕਹਾਣੀ ਨਹੀਂ , ਇਹ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦਾ ਸੱਚ ਹੈ , ਜੋ ਅਸੀਂ ਅੱਜ ਵੀ ਹੰਡਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਾਂ । ਜਿਨਾ ਜ਼ੁਲਮ ਮੁਸਲਿਮ ਤੇ ਅੰਗਰੇਜ਼ ਨੇ ਕਿੱਤਾ , ਹਿੰਦੂ ਨੇ ਸਿੱਖ ਤੇ ਜ਼ੁਲਮ ਕਰਨ ਦੀਆ ਹੱਦਾਂ ਪਾਰ ਕਿੱਤਿਆਂ। ਤੁਸੀਂ A R Darshi ਦੀ ਕਿਤਾਬ ਪੜ ਸਕਦੇ ਹੋ ।
