This song brought me so much confort that I can't even explain. The music video is also brilliant! I love that Onew's work always have kind of "nostalgic" feel, references of classic movies and stuff.
The coins to me represent to me how in childhood a coin was everything... with a coin you could get a bouncy ball, a bubble gum or some random trinket and it was EVERYTHING, but as you grow old and see those coins it's just small change/nothing too meaningful... honestly the whole thing seems to be talking about the cycle of life we all go through... as well as the things that don't exist anymore but are still in our hearts, including our childhood, dreams, and people that are still precious to us in our present. We're all just different beings, neither perfect nor less just because we aren't perfect. and we all coexist together... and while we're different, casting different shadows, we're also all part of this same cycle of life. That's why "we can embrace each other wordlessly". We've all been through it... we all understand it.. even if it doesn't have a name, even if it's not exactly identical.
Your thought Definitely fits! to me, as I thought more about this it meant spending money on meterial things that won't bring you true happiness, "money can't buy happiness", you know? The kind of joy you felt as a kid without a single bad thought in the world, now that same money, those coins that brought you joy as a kid, like you said, to get a bubble gum/ball, etc, now, no amount of money in the Wolrd will bring you that joy because the joy wasn't from the money in the first place, it was from being a pure, naive, curious, happy child. That also fits within the cycle / circle of life, it's a very familiar story. IDK, lol 😅

The whole album is a masterpiece, it moved me to tears, you should check it out. All SHINee guys are high quality artists, you should dig deeper into their music, as a group and their solos. They're awesome!
The cat puppet represents the mv director's late persian cat. He got comfort with the song and they added it. The pink tunnel represents inside a whale. There is a song he wrote the lyrics named as 'in the whale'. Someone commented on the mv that they just recently lost their cat of 15 years, and the cat was a white persian, just like the cat in the video. The song gave them comfort after a period of sadness. The director saw that comment and posted it on his insta.

The bunnies represent Onew, toy dinosaurs are for Jonghyun (one of his nicknames is Dino), keys for Key, soccer ball for Minho, he plays soccer among other sports, and the mushrooms resemble Taemins bowl haircut from their debut era. If you have time, you should listen to Jonghyun's solo work, even if you don't react to it. That will give you an idea of how different they are as soloists. You might think they would clash as a group, but 5HINee together is pure magic.

I think the same as you about the MV theme: cycles, ups and downs in life, recognizing that we go through the same experiences as humans. Onew recently said that his motto is "try to acknolegde not to understand" (Jonghyun used to say the same) and I think that pretty much sums up what the MV means. As you said, there is no conclusion, you have to accept what life throws at you and flow with it.

For me, it's not Wed Anderson or The Truman Show - it's Everything Everywhere All At Once. But Onew, he's a genius and every time I watch this I cry. The album is gorgeous. Circle...Circle is majestic and holy and the only other person I can even imagine singing this is Jonghyun. Indie Onew is in the house and I am here for it.

Another reactor noticed the only moments he was "happy" was in the artificial stage-set - as if the happiness is fake like the setting. And where he is actually singing, he's up in an attic-like space - where you put away the toys of childhood? I can't figure out the cat though or the reference to 8 stories. Shawols have noticed that there are images representing each SHINee member in the MV - e.g., the toy dinosaurs = Jong, the soccer ball = Minho, the bunny candle = Onew himself, mushroom = Taemin and there is imagery of a key. I don't know what to make of the weird cat tho.

I think the camera guy refers to when humans first discovered technology and filming things like the News, and making music or movies and the history that repeats over and over for different countries the same seasons happen it’s a culture reset so everything can finally be normal and we can finally live in peace together as that is God’s vision for us ❤

I have been watching your videos from the beginning this week (the ones of groups I follow) and I really enjoy your reactions! I’d live for you to check out the groups Victon and A.C.E. A.C.E are a phenomenal vocal and dance group who are really unique in that they were all top trainees at different companies who were recruited by a producer who wanted to start her own company. The company was built around them. They have done so much busking to try to get their names out there, plus variety shows, dance and song covers, really anything they could do. Also they have the most beautiful concept photos of any group I’ve seen. I recommend Undercover, Favorite Boys, Savage, and Higher. Victon is a very talented group with amazingly unique vocals. I recommend What I Said, Nostalgic Night, Mayday, Virus, Dear.Young, and Howling.
