Go to Harlem ! When I was last in nyc it felt like the only neighborhood left that wasn’t completely gentrified… I feel like most of the people interviewed are on vacation or transplants . Would be coo to see a more authentic style by neighborhood

Question for the people "what is your favorite fashion memory?'" (for example, I have a friend who was trying to break-in a pair of Naked and Famous jeans and he put the jeans on and sat in a tub for 2 hours, but then they were stuck to him so his brother had to blow dry his jeans off of him and help him get out of them. Then once he was out of those jeans his skin was stained a nice indigo tone from the dye)
Question for you- with fashion week coming up, I know there are a ton of small creators that will do stuff and have events. If someone was in NYC during that time, what would be the best way to discover, participate, or help get involved with those events?
You should ask people do they plan their outfits or just get up and put stuff on. I plan my whole look for the week.

i think it’s an ok question, but some people are sensitive to it. sometimes you can ask in a different way, such as “what field are you in?” it’s just a TAD milder, lol. that way, the people who are proud to say exactly what they do can do it, and the people who don’t wanna be specific are still comfortable.
