Not on the Kings Cross - Kings Lynn line! When there's an incident it takes them ages to break the route into two pieces & they never accurately document the delayed/cancelled trains
In reply to some of the comments none of it is voice over and everyone in it were Rail staff. As for the bad acting comments what you saw is what actually happens. I wonder if you would be able to do better?
This is the same basic pilot man system that's been in use for over 100 years. The only change from the beginning to this is they're using signal post telephones to talk to one remote signaler, instead of the two signalmen in two signal boxes and doing all the bell codes.
Very interesting presentation. It should be seen by all the people who say the railways are 'badly run'.
It's funny how back in the steam days it took hours to arrange one line working but they do it in minutes now.

I'm not sure why I am watching old rail safety videos, but somehow it works.
Amazing voice acting on behalf of the voiceover for the handsignaller at 3:52!!

Not a voice over at all
What happens if its an axle counter area? They would not know there was a broken rail, isnt that more dangerous than track circuits?
No more dangerous than an AB area.

The start of all the bullshit that made me leave Network Rail in a bad way 😢
In what way do you mean?
It looked very long winded but safety is paramount.
