Resident Evil 5 (2009) - Easter Eggs and References you might have missed!

- The 19th video in this series is Resident Evil 5 on the PS4 remastered, where I've put together as many Easter eggs, references, and anything you might not have known, even decades later.
I've searched the internet and played through the entire game to validate each one the best I could. I can't take credit for a lot of these, I merely pooled together as many Easter Eggs into one video from other sources. Some entries may not be classed as anything of the above but were included as a point of interest.

RE5 was like when your favorite director goes from inde horror, to and big action packed blockbuster
And still slaps
interesting is, that on the list of test subjects in Spencers File, the last name is Ethan W.
And that the main protagonist in later RE titles RE7 and 8 is named Ethan Winters.
Yeah, I noticed that too. I'm wondering now, if any more names on that list will strangely appear in RE 9 🙂
It's not the same Ethan W. though, Ethan is a very common name and the file in question was made years before the events of RE5 let alone RE7 if I remember correctly. The file also explicitly states that Ethan W. is dead. When we know that Ethan is very much alive at the time of RE7 and up to that point had never been involved in any sort of incidents like what happens in the games.
HOWEVER! (I haven't watched the whole video yet so I apologize if this pops up later) Alex Wesker (from Revelations 2) is first mentioned in the "Lost in Nightmares" DLC in some of the files and in that case it very much is the same person.
Oh, it's super nice to remember this game! I almost forgot about it. Can't say I love it like I loved 1-3 first Residents, or Code Veronica, or Outbreak, but another fresh look on some features of those games as you did - is excellent! Thank you!
Cheers, Eugene👍🙂Yeah, when I first played it on the PS3, I actually hated it, but it slowly grew on me over the years, and now I have the remastered version on PS4, which I like a lot. I'm glad you mentioned Outbreak. Those two games are great, and it's sad Capcom didn't do any more of them.

@@christopherpeterson7734 Since the ugliest remake of it has appeared I start preferring that loved one game. I wasn't a fan of that game - it changed the direction of the series, but comparing to the remake I'd say that was a masterpiece

Cheers, mate 👍 I appreciate that. Though I'm a little disappointed with the sound quality of most of my older videos. I'm surprised anyone could hear them without turning up their volume to max or putting on headphones, but it's a learning curve🙂

Yeah I saw the name too. RE 5 was released I think about eight years before RE 7, so that's why I left it out🙂
It's not referencing Ethan Winters its just a coincidence, the file also states that Ethan W. is dead when we know he's alive in RE7.
one that i think is kind of a reference is during chapter 3-1, when you at the section with the alligator lake there are fish swimming around, you can kill these fish and they will drop gold, could be a reference from RE 4 tho you get HP items from them not money, also the static spiders in the game that are just on walls and such count as enemies so if you shoot or knife one they will be in your kill records
You're not wrong about the RE 4 stuff, there's plenty of throw backs to that game, like the truck driver on the bridge trying to run Chris down is similar to the one trying to run down Leon before he reached the castle 🙂 I didn't know the spiders count as a kill! I was only on it yesterday when I was killing a bunch of spiders and must have added them to my final kill count without realising it, 😆 thanks for that, Venkintus 👍
