- Porsche drive along Furka Pass in Switzerland, from Andermatt to Gletsch.
In 1964 the iconic James Bond - Goldfinger car chase was shot here - here you learn where the key locations are!
This video was completed on the day Sean Connery passed away - so I dedicated as my tribute to the first and most classy Bond of them all!

Poor Sean, his gps 06:00 says that the Furka glacier has melted, and it's flowing down the Rhône river to the Lemanic Lake and Geneva.

Mega! Tolle Idee, tolles Auto, schöne Rückblicke auf ruhigere Zeiten!
Vor drei Tagen bin ich da auch rauf von Realp gen Bond St. und rauf zum Furkapass. Der lag noch in den Wolken, aber Belvedere war gut besucht. Der Gletscher mittlerweile 15 Min. Fussweg entfernt. 40m pro Jahr verliert er laut Dame im Souvenirshop.

Thanks for that. I've made many passes over the Furka (on a motorcycle) but never stopped to figure out exactly where the shots were taken. Some were obvious - the Galenstock & Belvedere, Realp and the ling straight between Realp & Hospental - but the locations of the shots on the curves I could never quite nail down. The Bergidyl Hotel in Andermatt had a pic of the crew signed by Connery eating in their restaurant.
I've also spent time in Cortina on the Corso Italia and always felt it a bit odd seeing the motorcycles on that pedestrian zone.
I spent a while on Sardinia, and the ferry dock at Palau never looked anywhere as well decorated as it did in the movie.
Tilly Masterson, using a .22 cal AR 7 survival rifle was really an overlook the armourer on this film should have noticed. She would have needed a perfect shot to take out Goldfinger at that distance. If she was that good she would have chosen the proper rifle.

Das eine tolle Straße bin ich dieses Jahr auch gefahren. Mit meinem Wohnmobil .Im Schlepptau ein Pulk von ca 20 Porsche hat sich keiner vorbei getraut 😝

Die Außenhaut des Film Aston war ja scheinbar in einem bedauernswerten Zustand. Grobe Dellen auf Fahrer- und Beifahrerseite. Da hat es wohl tatsächlich Kontaktsport gegeben.

Nothing seems to match the original film ,are you in the right pass ?
guess you didn't really want to stop, would have been nice to pull in at some of the locations marker points and just swing the camera around and film something different other than just the drivers point of view from behind the steering wheel, .....but then the Bond sequence took seven days to shoot......:-)
I love 007 movies, but never been to Europe. It would have been nice to go a bit slower and take a swing of camera around so the iconic locations can be recognizable. Love your Porsche.

We passed there yesterday and you can no longer see the glacier from the road.
yes that's really a disaster... I was recently at the Grossglockner (video: ruclips.net/video/wH8gn_TjgqE/видео.html ) and same here, the glacier is disappearing more and more..
