I have little knowledge in marine Aquarium
Dear sir i hv 90 gal cichlid tank, i brought lava rock stones after washing them i put them 20 min in boiled water then kept
out side to be cool properly then placed in my tank sump but after 3 or 4 days my fishes start rubbing their gills then i took out
rocks and fishes became normal. Plz can u tell me what could be issue. I want to add lava rocks to remove Nitrate.
May be excess of minerals

@@aquapetsfarmtamil4785 I think u r rite but i hv 1 point i added rocks on 31th March 2021 and fishes start rubbing with decoration on 4th April then i did medicine treatment but no effect and finally i remove rocks on 7th April nearly 10 pm then without changing any water next day on 8th April 2021 after about 12 Hrs all fishes become normal. Now i am confused that these become normal without changing water if there is some mineral in water then how i got out without water change only took out rocks.
