Great video Sir. I'm going with these tires from now on. I got firestones with my dodge and there junk to say the least. I got 20k on the first set and 25 on my second all highway miles.
Thanks for your review. Considering it was almost 5 years ago you made this video. It costed you around $1300 for the whole set. Now its around $2300. I was told by America's tire yesterday.
I have been running Toyo open country MTs since 2007 at least, best tires I have ever bought. I wouldn't doubt that I have 100K on my current set so far. Great rubber.
I only owned Open Country once. Afterwards I owned Nitto Grapplers MT. Loved the Nitto's more. Because I like the loud Howling. It's a warning to get out my way a beast is coming.
Good information brother . I’ve run these tires on 4 different trucks and been very happy everytime . Traction was so good I didn’t really need 4WD and they look better than anything else in my own opinion. I’ve got Geolanders 35s on now because I bought it with those but changing to these on my 22 4 Runner
Fantastic tire and like all Toyo's they balance easily. I had them for 20K but sold them to a friend. I wanted to go back to an AT. Not much mud in SoCal.
I have the same tires on my truck they are 38s and rub pretty bad when i turn.. They were on there when i got it.. (just got the truck 4 days ago) mine is getting 16.5 mpg on a 24 valve 325 horse cummins
Thanks, l am doing the opposite, going from 35x12.5 to the 285/75 , but going back with Toyo MT Had pro comp AT can’t wait to get my Toyo back, had a set before the pro comps
I have these tires 35 x 12.5 r 17 had 3 set of these tires i rotate them as i should , i like the looks i look the performance but i do not like how long they last , i get about 26,000 miles on a set I pull trailers 20,000 lbs most times these tire wear very fast I am going to try the BFG k02 or the dura track goodyear I need a change.
In general, would you recommend these tires over the stock tire and size? Suspension is not a problem for me. I’m getting a rough country lift with all the right things to have it go down the road.
I would say to get decent mpg go with a 265 or 285 size. For the best looks go with a 33 or 35. Also the 35 size is known to get great tread life compared to some of the other sizes. A great compromise would be to get the 295 size they offer.
@@jacobcvpi8279 what’s fake ??? Your will never see a real off-road truck, with rough country. Fox, king, bilstien, icon, just to name a few….. why do you think rough country is the cheapest? Why did you buy rough country? Cuz its cheap
How many miles does your truck have? I have a 13 Ram 1500 with 33 toyo mt rights at 28000 and love them. I put a level lift when I bought it, was going to try 35 if they clear.
5.9 Ram2500 thanks I was going to look at getting new ones, but still at 28000 so I'll wait. That's really cool you got 63000 on your old ones. Works right down the road so I drive back roads to get there. I haven't had to drive interstate so I think they see 65 mph max, but usually it's around 40mph. I just live the look of the tire. Thanks for the reply.
Hey brother, quick question, I have a 33x12.5 on my 1/2 ton. I also have the beads in the tires for weight but at 60-70 my truck really has a solid vibrate. Have you experienced this? Thought about doing a steering stabilizer but just was curious man! Thank you!
I'm pushing same thing so the 4l60e stock is wearing clutch pacts out fast so I'm going to go to 285 65 18 . Im going keep the 35s in storage . I did re gear to 456 but the 4l60e stock is design for 265 tires ,.
They are louder than all terrains but not a whole not louder when you first get them. They seem to make more noise as they wear. These are quieter than other mud terrain tires though.
After owning these I think they’re way too heavy. Waaaay heavy compared to others. Also they never fully balanced on me so I’m changing to something else.
If you get snow in the winter, DO NOT buy these tires. Had 4" wet/dry mix of snow today, and they pack up quik and hydroplane and float. I have 37x12.50x20 on my ram 1500. Last winter i had nitto trail grapplers same size, and they didnt hydroplane or float once. These toyos also suck in the mud, compared to the nitto trail grappler. These do make nice highway tires though. Haha
This video was hands down the most informative one I’ve watched, and you’ve sold me on them too. Thank you, sir!

Glad it helped!

My goodness that’s outrageous

I just bought a pair for 1500$
@@goodworthss0073 but then that’s 4 for $3000?
I too was looking at purchasing tires today. And all seem to have gone up.
I just put two of these on the front of my truck yesterday. So far they seem like a great tire.
Only 2? Wtf
Thanks Chap. Great review, very helpful. Will be replacing my BFG MT’s with these next time around.

I just ordered these. Thank you
That was a great review man!
Thanks for watching!
i have a nissan patrol and had bfg 33s ko2 with death wobble when i hit 60-70, once i got these 35s it all went away too
I put 40k miles on my pair of 33"x16". Tough as nails.
Fantastic tire and like all Toyo's they balance easily. I had them for 20K but sold them to a friend. I wanted to go back to an AT. Not much mud in SoCal.
I get 17-20 on hiway out of my hemi on 33 10.5 20s but it's a half ton 04 with 392 gears
Hi, how many kms or miles did you get out of this set.. I need new shoes for my trk and i'm thinking about the same
Got em ordered in 35x12.5R20....excited to try em
That's a good size. Bonus of going with the 35s is that they have slightly deeper tread from the factory over most of the smaller sizes.
Ouch. Those are really expensive.

That's your rim offset nothing to do with the tire
60k on my set and 7 yrs old 2000 GMC sierra 2500 and yes you do pull to the right.
The negatives you mention pretty much apply to all big mud tires and the offset has nothing to do with these tires or any tires.
What mileage did you get on these 35s? Thinking I'm going to get these in 37x12.50r17
Nice

I am about to do the same thing you did. How did it work out?
@@mattmargerum9618
I ended up with buckshot mudders because of the outrageous price increases on Toyos , on a farm feed truck couldn’t justify Toyos
On my 2014 Ram hemi, I’m getting 9mpg with the exact same tired but on 20 inch fuels

How is tire in snow ? Same tire is 2200 now
What brand tire beads do you use

Chuck the beads and get them balanced. They're easy to balance.

I'm on my second set, BEST TIRES I've ever run
What psi have you been running ?
And what load range are the tires?
Stock offset is +43 offset so your new wheels should stick out roughly 2.2” more.
If it was -43
@@mulligan1976 Yes. -43's going to yield body damage and flinging crap on the guy behind yuo. They are going for mobile firepits though.

Very good tires for towing not good in sand

How wide is the actual tread width
I went out with a tape measured and it is 10.75" wide of tread
I heard these tired were loud as you ride, did you have trouble with these making much noise in the cabin?
They are louder than all terrains but not a whole not louder when you first get them. They seem to make more noise as they wear. These are quieter than other mud terrain tires though.
5.9 Ram2500 im currently trying to decide between these and the nitto trail grappler m/t, would you still suggest these toyos?
I think I'd still pick the toyos because of how long they have lasted me. The Nittos are a great tire too.
I’ve heard the Toyo mts are true to size ?
Psychopath96 no. Run a tad smaller in overall height. The rest of the tire is spot on
