so here's a funny story for you guys who still go in here when I was a kid, I was absolutely terrfied of Mimics, I don't know why, I just found them uncanny... anyways I always searched an entire floor without opening any chests until necessary, and when I saw that one floor in here that had no monsters, no gates, and just chests, my heart *stopped* but hey, now I love the lil fellers, good source of weapon exp and somewhat reliable source of repair powder with Xiao's bandit sling, so all's well that ends well.
for me it was the zelda ocarina of time with well every enemy when i was 4 freakin spiders ru kidding me?! lol even the cocoa pebble i like to call it the boulder before the kokiri sword scared me as a child lol wtf ahh good to be young.... beat the game a billion times same as dark cloud
5 years later and I found your comment. I had a similar story with them, but mine was more with those big brown chests. Every single time I saw one I'd get worried because I knew they were always more likely a King Mimic. I'd never open them without flinching.
When i was 7 years old playing my first times dark cloud (from the Demo CD) i was super scared of the yammichs and dashers 😂😂 I kept avoiding them and run away whenever they came too close xD

You enter the temple, only to be greeted by dark creatures of stone, sand, and metal. This is the final home of a King. But then you remember your peculiar circumstance that led you here. You are here to go to the Moon, to find the Moon Ship. Before you leave however, the Curse of The King hovers before you, surrounded in black wind, you and your allies vanquish the Curse, so that the King may have peace and return to eternal slumber. The Curse's final attempt begins to crumble the bridge to the Moon Ship. You and your allies make it to the Ship just before the rest of the bridge falls into the abyss below. And the Fairy King guides you to the moon.
