    When I visited The Golden Circle for the first time more than 40 years ago there were no visitor centers, no restrooms and no fences.

    I was at that waterfall in a blizzard, there were huge chunks of ice in the water and deep snow. It was like being on an alien planet.

    Brú sounds like the "Broo" in "Brood"
    ar like "are"
    the "h" in this case sounds like the first H in "huh"
    lö sounds like the "LO" in "LOVE"
    and finally ends with a softh "TH" sound

    A bit like a "young" Scotland for its volcanic activity. Great to see Iceland, from a toilet! That is some waterfall.
    You can just imagine what the first Vikings thought when they arrived here.
    I want to know what Vagninn means in Icelandic now 🤣

  • @missharry5727
    @missharry5727 9 месяцев назад

    According to Google translate, Vagninn means "the wagon."

    There have been many concerts in Kerið and even on the water on barges. The place has some real nice accoustic properties. If you sing near the lake you'll be able to exeperience the effect.

    Alum Bay, Isle of Wight, England is well known for its multi-coloured sand cliffs and stunning views across the Solent. Many homes around the world have a glass object filled with sand as a memento of a visit to Alum Bay and The Needles, but perhaps less well-known is Alum Bay’s history.
    The sands are made of three minerals - quartz, felspar and mica, and in their pure state are white with other colours being produced through contamination by other minerals. Visitors can fill their own shapes with the coloured sand in The Sand Shop.

    If I fimed in that bathroom I'd probably be arrested lol, great view though. I loved the places you went especially the crater, probably because I'm used to seeing soggy mountains in Wales, although they're not as impressive 😉. I think Angela did a great job at sorting through the 12k footage. I don't known how she managed to compress all theses huge files 😂. Cheers 👍

      The inner circle has the right away so drivers on the the outer ring have to yield to inner drivers. Hope that makes more sense?

    You look so much more relaxed than when you went to England. Do you think it's because you feel better about leaving the safety of familiar surroundings now you've more travel experience? I'd genuinely love to know, as I have some relatives (UK) who have never travelled and the idea absolutely terrifies them.
