GOSH I LOVE THEIS SO MUCH! Makes very few mistakes, disciplined on defense, good roll man, can shoot threes, excellent rebounder...so nice to watch

Love Theis. Great long and athletic center, good defender, great rebounder, great on the pick and roll and can shoot the open three. And he’s only 25

He could do anything you want from a big man. He definitely deserves a bigger contract, but man I really hope we could keep him.

I forgot all about this man. Hope he does well and gets back out there fully recovered from the injury by Training Camp. He's crucial to our system in the pick and rolls and his size gives him the dominance in the paint and rebounding.
I wouldn't say Theis "dominates the paint". He's a solid rotation guy but he's never going to be a monster on the boards..
People don’t realize how much he could’ve done for us in the playoffs 😓
I like knowing we have him locked up for the next 2 years as well. With the coaching he is getting he could be a very key player at the end of his 3 year contract once he adds some muscle and some NBA experience.
Theis is one of those players who should have been drafted at least in the second round in 2013, but wasnt because he is european and did not play in college. he was amazing in the german league and propably the best defender in the league for some time between 2013-2017. very smart, low risk move for the celtics

I feel like his offensive game is extremely underrated, especially on this team where he's not asked to do much. He can shoot out to the 3 point line, he's good in both the pick and roll and the pick and pop, he's a decent passer, and just understands how to move without the ball. Not to mention he gives maximum effort going for offensive rebounds. The one weakness might be that he needs to work on his post game. Hopefully his knee injury doesn't take away his athleticism.

He's shots are very similar to dirk nowitzki shots. Fluid, confident and his length and height makes his shot even deadlier. Hope we can keep him for next season

He should honestly start at power forward this year. I wouldn't be surprised if he puts up numbers similar to horford
Boston better plays Wanamaker with Theis on the floor. This duo was destroying defenses in Pick & Roll situations back in Germany. I can see it being very successful as the center of the bench unit.
Daniel Thesus is one of my favorite players on this team. I hope he recovers from his injury 100% and I hope the Celtics resign him after next year too.

People say if we had kyrie and Gordon we would have beat the cavs but to me If we had Larkin and theis I think we would have won we played with only 2pgs and theis would have played great d and stretched the floor

If Theis could get a bit more stronger and start averaging 10+ rebounds a game for us, boston wouldn't really need a star big , Theis only 25 👀 !
He's not going to fill out any more. He's already 250 pounds. Also, he's in the prime of his career so pretty much this is what you're going to get (which isn't a problem)

ilovetheNBA he’s coming off a serious knee injury and is competing for time with Big Al, Baynes, Robert Williams. There won’t be as much time with Gordon Hayward coming back and Jayson Tatum slated to start at the four. He’s a nice player but he has no chance of starting on the Celtics.
Agreed. He's already 26 years old. He's one of those guys that might be a top-3 backup C but never really makes it a starter. I like him but RW3 will probably be just as good by end of the year
