Same. Bad drafting bad trades losing 3 goal leads at end of games in the 2000s was what was normal. Rangers won the Presidents trophy in 1993 the year we all fell in love w the Leaping Panther logo (well at least I did as a 7 year old). Rangers lost in the first round I believe. The next year they won the cup. Trading for Tkachuk was a no brainer. Hated we lost Weeger in that trade but Monty has filled that role and he's been all pro no doubt about it great for us. Bob is finally living up to his big contract. 7 more to go!! In year 30 or our history get it done boyssss!

I agree that was a home field save by the officials. Because the Panthers player wasn't looking at the goalie and you can see his skate hitting the goalie skate was not intentional. The goalie had time to adjust and didn't he slipped too.

the thing I have to laugh about is all the idiots crying that bad / biased officiating is ruining the playoffs. the quality of games has just been incredible this year and those cry babies are missing it.
Florida is not your typical 8 seed. Reminder nearly all of this team just won the President's Trophy last season. However if you make it to the dance, you have a shot. Even as a fan of a division rival, I would be proud to watch Florida make it to the Cup Final.

There's 4 ice rinks with hockey leagues within 10 miles in any direction. Ice Den, Pines, Glacier, Boca, Kendall in miami.

I thought I came into this series with respect for Carolina as our opponents. After this game, omfg, I've found new levels. Anderson would be unbelievable if not for the goalie on the other side of the rink. How did this game even happen and how the hell are either team's players supposed to even mildly recover in time for Saturday night?
Crazy game, I'm a Canes fan and happy to be up against the Panthers. Wish the Canes won but can't deny that this is one of the best games of all time and it's great to still be in the game.

That has to be such a gut punch - to play over 2 games-worth of hockey and end up losing the game. Even though it isn't reflected in the series count, that has to feel like you've lost the first _two_ games!
I got wiped out just sitting in the stands for six hours of hockey. The players on both sides must be totally depleted. After the second OT ended, I kept telling my friend sitting next to me that the game would be won or lost on a mistake. And it was.

I am a Flyers fan and took notice of Panthers when they tied up Boston and especially after winning game 7 of course. I really like Paul Maurice’s quirky, honest, demeanor. I am hoping they win the title and not just go the distance. If they get past this series I think they will have another huge challenge against likely opponent of Vegas. Go Panthers!

I used to hate Tkachuk on the Flames but I've come to respect his unique blend of scrappiness and raw talent. He's like a bigger and more skilled version of Marchand. Exactly the type of guy you want on your team come playoff time.

I hope the leafs take note that to be a winning team in the playoffs, you need a premier goaltender not a outcast from Ottawa or a keeper with no experience in playoffs. Leafs spend money on players that are individuals, not team players, to score goals but forget in order to win you need to keep the puck out of your net as well. The leafs fancy dance players are great in season play but not playoffs when you play for keeps. Bob in the Florida goal has won them games in the playoffs. Last night, game one against the hurricanes is just another example of this.
Slavin and Burns now know that the best way to end a game in quadruple overtime is to cough up the puck in your own end
