They were suppose to do an LS1 in the extreme, but it was too expensive according to lore. I imagine they figured it would be another Syclone flop. A small truck with a high price tag that only a few would buy.

The syclone had better track times and better fuel economy than the lt1 corvettes. to avoid hurting corvette sales the turbo 4.3 was halted. I imagine something similar happened with the xtreme/ls1 situation. Corvette has always been chevys flagship, can’t have a fast little truck outdoing it.
That thing is just downright nasty. Definitely not no stock LS1. I wish I could afford to build something like that (out of a first generation S10, which is what I have)
get a 5.3l ls based vortec truck motor from your local scrap yard and strap a turbo on it and get very good power, seen people putting down 600whp and like a $3500 budget. im working on a 5.3 twin turbo build for my car and the bill came out to just around $4500 but if you go for as cheap as possible you can go single with no intercooler and still make killer power for cheap, theres a couple articles about it if you search "5.3 turbo build" to get you started. its not all that expensive to get good power nowadays. hope that helped

I'd enjoy my 2003 S-10 Pickup hooked up like this now that the body is finished. I admit that I've only transplanted one before years ago (Camaro 350 into an 87 Blazer) and I would need help for this type of radical power. Holy crap, I love this clip! Did you keep it 4-wheel drive? I'm thinking Typoon maybe my best option. Helpful comments only wanted.
@ELpincheWEROdeLETHAL I can tell you right now the Veyron is not a 400k car but more like a 1.5million dollar car vs a 20k pickup by why not? People would often match up the Mclaren F1 against many tuners, 100k Supras Turbo Vipers and Twin Turbo Vettes back in the day. But that 1 turbo can beat 4.
I have an '82 S-10 that will do that. And it is NOT a computerized LS. It's an old school 383ci small block with a Weiand 6-71 blower and dual Holley 650s. It's not how fast you go, it's how you go fast.
