Every member of the school cheered him and respected him. Because, HE NEVER QUIT and HE GAVE 100% ALL THE TIME. So thank you Tyrus, your words and inspiration are commendable.

I think about him often and sincerely hope he’s doing well.

Tyrus has always been a Good Man, literally he helped build the backyard I loved as a child because my dad was his teacher and always offered work to any of his HS students that wanted it. He is one of my dads all time favorite students because of how much he put into his class, and then how much he put into everything he did afterward. I’m so glad he’s getting the recognition he deserves, because I firmly believe he is not only one of the good ones, but one of the Best ones.

Yes You can learn from them, but they are poor teachers, by the time you learn from them you've already made your mistakes, whereas 1) God's word and 2)the Holy Spirit combined with 3)obedience teach you without ever having to experience, the negative effects of poor choices. My mother got polio in the 50's..I was the first born after. I never saw my mother walk. She and my dad raised 4 kids. Miss her.
